Saw that a day or two ago. I'm in -- seems like quite a fun box at a rather fair price, by comparison to others.

Or is that what They want you think?

For what you are getting, it's far less expensive that the MPC Experiences. Multiple boxes, plus many more pieces inside. Plus, Sabuda is not only a famous artist in his field, he's a genius at paper engineering. I order a signed set of all three right on the spot!

I'm glad to see that less than a week in, they're already 75% funded. And that they're in there with additional perks and add-ons already.
I wonder a little if IndieGogo makes it hard to gauge how many people will ultimately fund a project. Kickstarter doesn't charge your cc until the campaign ends, but at IndieGogo, they charge your credit card immediately. I was very tempted to wait until toward the end of the campaign to sign up, but I was worried I'd forget or that it might close early, etc.. The last-minute rush could be impressive, between word of mouth and the people who wanted to wait until the very end so as not to give their CC company free money for a month, lol!

With Kickstarter, your money will either be refunded or not charged if the goal is reached.
Indiegogo does not refund money. Not sure how they deal with that if the goal isn't reached.
But in this case they are going to exceed their goal with no problem. Did you see the prototype of the cryptic lock they just posted? Very cool. You can follow the Armchair Detective Company on their website, Facebook, or Indiegogo.

Their Indiegog campaign has been fully funded, so we're all going to get a lot of really cool stuff. Now they're working toward the first announced stretch goal. Really looking forward to this. The little cipher lock made out of clock faces with a drawer, just one of the MANY things we'll receive, is certainly at a higher level than anything received so far in The Century Beast.

It is a bit of a shame they do not ship overseas - but then again, my wallet needs the break.

Wow, this looks really REALLY cool! I might back this instead of ordering Under The Ceiba Tree. Thanks for the tip, thegenii!

This is tempting, to say the least, but right now it comes at a rather inopportune time - financially, that is. I see I still have a little more than a week to decide, though... and I really hope they will be able to continue offering their services after their campaign ends. Their is also the small matter of the customs office. When my friend who received Tempus Fugit last year picked up her crate, they actually made her open it then and there - which is annoying enough for an Experience by the Mysterious Package Company, but would be catastrophic in the case of a Case from the Armchair Detective Company, although there might be a way around it by properly declaring the contents. In any case, I am grateful for the offer, and I hope I will be able to take you up on it.

Just let me know.
We're quite lucky in the US: customs and duties rarely interfere with our packages.

They did now open international orders - I will likely be unable to resist. The medium-sized box looks especially gorgeous.
Besides, I badgered my family into subscribing to their newsletter. That sample puzzle sounds interesting. Did you already receive that?

Just let me know. We're quite lucky in the US: customs and duties rarely interfere with our packages. I just called their offices to see if opening the boxes could in any way be avoided... and got a very definite no for an answer. Even if there was a piece by piece declaration of contents, they would very likely need to go through the boxes, and if the boxes could not be opened, they would need to break them open.
While I appreciate that people cannot just smuggle a pound of yellow cake uranium into this country disguised as a mystery box, this is beyond frustrating.

A reminder for those still considering this, the campaign closes soon.
