I went in for the Druids' Catacomb. This looks too good to pass up.

The three people involved in The Armchair Detective Company have sterling reputations with many years of great work to back it up. 2017 (and it could be anytime in 2017!) is a long time to wait, but there are a huge number of handmade pieces involved and the wait should be worth it.

I do hope they will be "opening shop" and not just have the Indiegogo campaign. I was able to order the crossword box and the Druid box. The star crossed scientists was just a couple hundred dollars too far for me right now. But It looked so interesting!

They've written that they hope to be able to begin selling the items after all the existing orders have been filled. There's so much hand work involved that it will probably be done in China, and larger orders are much less expensive.

It looks like you'll have more time to order in case you missed it:
"You may have noticed that our campaign page now says “InDemand” at the top: Indiegogo offers this service for campaigns that reach their goal – our Mysterious Cases will continue to be available here until we set up our own online store. If you have a friend who missed out on our 30 day campaign, they can still sign on at our Indiegogo page to get their own Mysterious Cases!"

I think they seem really promising, if for no other reason than it's Sabuda selling them and he actually has his real-life, people know him, personal reputation staked in this campaign.
His stuff really is amazing, I've been getting his books for kiddos in the family for a long time now and they never disappoint.

Yes! I managed to scrap my pennies together and have now ordered the star crossed scientists. I should now receive all three boxes. Right now I'm so excited I can't wait. But the sad truth is that sometime between now and shipping I will have forgotten the whole thing and it will come as a total surprise to me.

I think that's part of the charm -- It's like the Spanish Inquisition!

Did The Spanish Inquisition come as a surprise to those tortured?

More like, "No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!"
It was a recurring sketch on Monty Python where people were tortured with comfy chairs and soft pillows.
