My worry is that symbols are differentiated by colour. I thought some symbols seemed lighter in nature, but with my colour deficiencies, I'll be hard pressed to be able to discern light from dark with any accuracy.

Did you notice that there does appear to be lighter and darker symbols, and sometimes part of symbols. This may not be anything, of course. I didn't. From what I've read, that helps explain one of the theories about the possible decode method. I'll have another look this evening. My second mailing should be arriving Thursday.

I have decoded nearly all of the coded portions I can read in the first mailing using the start they gave us in the second mailing, but I just can't read all the symbols on the goblin letter as the weathering has made them very faint on my copy. Can anyone shoot me a copy of their goblin code? I'm hoping your fold marks are in a different place. Thanks!

In Sebastian's letter of March 1879 to Henry he speaks of an "unfortunate incident last year" . Just what happened in 1878? (Laura passed in 1876) Did it have something to do with a nanny?

Because of moving into a new house I (and perhaps only I) opted for the later shipping date and just had the opportunity to open the first mailing tonight - you all have covered the gambit pretty well so I don’t have anything to add, except that I’ve missed you guys! I’m glad to have enough down time to start getting back into things MPC!

I just got a look at the first shipment and found there was a clue not mentioned yet. So without using the 2nd mailing (coming next week) the pattern of the first seven symbols on the front of the photo match the first 2 words written to the right. "Last day" = first seven symbols and now to try and match the other sequences and hope some can be inferred.

Hello there! I just received Filigree in Shadow off of Ebay, and (for what I'm assuming are privacy reasons) didn't receive the letter from "Millenial Dominion Financial" explaining why these came into my possession. Would someone mind giving me the basic gist, or scanning their letter if they don't mind? Thanks a bunch I'm guessing it's something along the lines of long lost relative, some trust or will I was unaware of. Even though I ordered it for myself, it would still be fun to get the whole setup.

Thought I would preserve the blue prints and the other component in a nice frame because they were on sale at Michael's. Unfortunately the sheet is not 24x36, but rather 23x39 - standard for blueprints it seems but difficult to frame haha
