I can only speak from the experience of the "live" shipping dates for C&C, but it does take them a little while, I believe. If you wanted more info on it, MPC member services would be more than happy to help (and have more of a definite answer than me)!

Here are my experiences with C&C shipping times (I live in the midwest US): Ordered the omnibus 11/11/16, was shipped 11/25/16, and delivered 12/2/16. Note that it came 1st class USPS mail. Since there are no curios in the omnibus, it ships in a flat envelope. Ordered Vol 3 on 12/25/16 (Merry Christmas to me), was shipped 1/13/17, and was delivered 1/18/17. The Vol 3 package is larger since there are curios and came USPS Priority mail. Hope that helps and enjoy!

I was met with an unintended and practical puzzle. There were 4 oddly decorated envelopes, but they were unmarked as to which one was which issue. I knew I could just start opening them and find the one marked "Chapter 1," but because I am a geek, I wanted to open them in order. I did some quick scans through the V3 forums (which I am generally trying to avoid for now) and didn't see any reference to the mailing envelope designs. I did eventually figure it out and successfully opened the Chapter 1 envelope last night. Since I called it a puzzle, I'll spoilerize a hint for anyone in the same situation... Poke around at mpc.com

I kind of hate that it takes so long but I guess I'm used to things on like eBay getting shipped the day after it's ordered and then receiving it a couple of days later. I'm just excited and impatient and I can't wait to order Vol. 3.

Greetings all,
I'm a logic puzzler, collector of playing cards and classic TV, enthusiastically mediocre chef, and a Washington state-based Sailor with a wicked mustache. My specialty is in communications and my enthusiasm is for cryptography, even if they don't let me do it. I live in an impractically large apartment with visiting hummingbirds for company, and I like it that way. I also enjoy hiking, or rather I will enjoy it again when it stops raining every day. In three years I've been in the area, I've managed to exceed my limits and nearly die in both Rainier and Olympic nat'l parks. Originally I am from Dallas, TX. I intend to return there, but I haven't decided when: my contract is coming to a close and I'm still not sure how I feel about that.
I discovered MPC several months ago when I impulsively bought not one, not two, but three full experiences for my sister, parents, and best friend respectively. Then I went ahead and got my catch-up issues and a subscription for C&C Volume 4. I've not made much progress but I've had plenty of fun so far. Very much looking forward to seeing the contents of The King in Yellow and John Augur when next I see the recipients of each.
That's probably enough for starters.

Welcome, Auridan! As you go through your catch-up issues, you'll find plenty of help on the forums here -- don't be shy about asking for a hint if you get stuck. Enjoy the sunshine today!

Hello, been a member here for a couple of months but haven't gotten around to doing this yet so here goes. I'm Darren and I live in Plymouth England, I first found out about the mpc from an advert on Facebook and was immediately interested. I've yet to purchase any of the experiences but am slowly catching up with the C&Cs (at time of writing I have completed volumes 1,2 and am up to 3.3) I hope to be of use when the new volumes start as sometimes I feel a tad rude constantly asking for advice/hints. But I'll offer my help here by saying anyone who needs help up to the point I've reached send a message and I'll get back to you.

Hello fellow cruciverbalists! I just sat down to Volume 1.1 last week, and I found myself thrilled and elated with the depth, personality, and skill of our puppet masters. I'm currently working on 2.4, and Volume 3 is sitting patiently in furred, chain mailed, woven, and strapped packaging. I absolutely love the escape from quotidian existance into a world of Sand and Smoke. I'm looking forward to being a part of the action as volume 4 wends its way toward us. In the meantime, I am eagerly catching up. I have been beyond thrilled by the comraderie and kindness of this community - especially both Todd and k8. I hope to extend help and guidance as we all move forward. So glad to be here.

Hello, I just noticed this thread a little bit ago, so I figured I would introduce myself. Like a lot of people here, I found MPC through an ad on Facebook sporting the Neil Patrick Harris quote and found it intriguing since I was in the middle of going through the backlog of Lovecraft stories (still am). This was back in November and during the Dread Holidays, I got myself the Catch-up Omnibus and the entirety of Volume 3 (just jumped right in). I just got done puzzling through Vol 2.2 (with help from the threads and a series of inquiries to Todd and wortelboer that ended with me being fairly embarrassed by how I had the solution already, I just used a caesarian shift the wrong way and left myself utterly confused. Hopefully that was a one-time thing. ANY WAY) and I'm currently looking forward to my second mailing of The King in Yellow experience. I'm 28 and was born, raised and am currently living in northern Illinois, USA in an apartment with my darling fiance (who helped me quite a few times with the crosswords) and our three orange and white cats. Me and her do tabletop RPG stuff and watch various sci-fi and/or mystery anthologies when we're not working. I currently work retail at an auto parts store and I'm not sure where I'm gonna go from there. Well, thanks for reading this block of text and I look forward to being a part of this community and hopefully manage to help as much as I receive it.

This is more of a reintroduction. I sort of fell off the earth for many months or a year. I apologize to those who pmed me with questions that received no answers, and I particularly apologize to craigrj. I am not new to C&C or this forum, but for those who mistake me for a newbie, I will try my best to practice tolerance. A quality I sadly do not normally possess.

No worries, life is what happens whilst you're busy making other plans, right? Take care, look after yourselves and those you love, and welcome back!

Newbie here.. from FB as well. Got in in time for BB but ordered GoM bc I wanted to start at *A* beginning since *THE* beginning was no longer available. It is so much fun that I followed a link from (I think) Todd to get the pared down version of Vol3 and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.
50ish and have an embarrassing love of paper. Me and 2 dogs and 4 cats living with my bestie on the beach in our dilapidated yet charming homestead. Work is a necessary evil to support my paper habit and the mastiff's kibble.
Would love to read every board and get to know y'all... reality will prevent that in totality but I can still be present as best possible as I commence the adventures contained in Volumes 3 & 4 😆

Oops! I'm a bit late but here goes:
My name is Melissa and I'm in Los Angeles. My favorite kind of puzzle is a good ol fashioned substitution cipher. When I'm not fiddling around with puzzles I'm either petting my greyhounds or doing weird Immersive Theater/ARG stuff (as a participant, not an actress). When I'm not goofing off I'm at work as a Forensic Scientist with LAPD. You can actually find my work through Canadian Society Journal of Forensic Science.
Other fun facts: my favorite color is orange and my husband and I got married on 3.14 (2011) just so we could have a pi day wedding. Ah, and my favorite MPC Experience besides C&C v. 3 is definitely Tempus Fugit.
