How have you got on with June's version, here's where we left off this weekend: (i) Fairly straightforward the verse tells you which letter to take from each line (ii) Ditto (i) told us which component to use in this puzzle, to get a four letter word (iii) Which is true, Deer or Crow Well we know from (ii), so that gives us the "real" phrase in (iv) to decipher (iv) Cipher Which is simple enough to decode and in theory gives us a pointer to the next puzzle (v) The Night Sky Well, does (iv) imply to just choose those stars which can be felt, not touched - i.e. intangibles - i.e. Bravery, Silence, Majesty, maybe Clairvoyance (vi) (vii) Tombs and Runes Working out the rune order is easy enough, but which constellation is correct - we think the bottom right one (sort of maps to Bravery, Silence, Majesty) and also we're looking for the witch first shipwrecked here, well the tomb on the right is also more overgrown and therefore been there longer, right? But how that gives a forename and surname, no idea. Back in (iii) the deer has arrows, the crow has a crown, which could be put together as Odetta Henbane, but this is not satisfying as a final answer.

Back in (iii) the deer has arrows, the crow has a crown, which could be put together as Odetta Henbane, but this is not satisfying as a final answer. (v) you're on the right track with the four stars you have, you just need to finish connecting the dots to get an answer. You should end up with something you've seen before. (vi)/(vii) using what you found in (v) will tell you which tomb and subsequent pair of runes underneath to focus on in this one. It actually took me a few days to figure out how I was supposed to use (vi) with (vii). You'll want to look really close at the rune tablets for this one. Once you figure out the symbols, you just match it up in (vii)

Alright, let me run something by you then... The curious thing about the left-most rune chart when filled in is that the runes form a symmetrical pattern - three are in a diagonal line, with the fourth in a corner. This pattern would sort of imply selecting the diamond rune, slopping sides, or made up of four triangles, both reasons are valid interpretations perhaps. It falls down with the one on the right as such neat symmetry doesn't exist....is this even along the right lines?

For clarification The pattern the grid of runes makes isn't important. My "you'll want to look really close at the rune tablets for this one", more directly means there is a super subtle difference in one of the grid squares in each grid. I never saw it until I happened to be working on it outside and saw it under bright sunlight.

Ok, I think I've got it at least, I've got a phrase that works and fits in the boxes... and I was able to logically move from puzzles (iii) through to (vii). Don't know what we were supposed to pull from (i) and (ii) though. What are we supposed to use from (i) to limit choices?

Don't know what we were supposed to pull from (i) and (ii) though. What are we supposed to use from (i) to limit choices? Well, regarding (i) and (ii):- I couldn't decide if the poem was asking us to choose one thing that fit all criteria listed, or three things (one per criteria). Going for something that fits all of them gives us ROCK and AXE which in (ii) means DIVIDE Er....and then that goes nowhere....

Yeah, I also thought Fungus fit the bill for the poem... which gives you double. For (iii) I took a look at the patterns in the number sequences

Yeah, I also thought Fungus fit the bill for the poem... which gives you double. For (iii) I took a look at the patterns in the number sequences Well... All three of the sequences double and then add anyway, so it doesn't really help in (iii), but I followed the sequences anyway to get my answer (the one on the right) - which leads into (iv) nicely, and then onto (v) but for this one (free = three) (river, therefore water + moon, water + dawn) but you get sixteen letters after that?
