I have noticed the "something odd", but I can't figure out how to use them.

I got confirmation from Jack that my final answer on August was correct, and he was kind enough to clarify a few points that I mentioned to him that caused confusion. The notes in quotes are directly from Jack. 1. Regarding the number of solutions to (i): "you should have ended up with two words - the riddle describes everything you remove as an option (or “wash clean” if you like!)." 2. Regarding what seems like a missing number in (iii): "The skipped number was deliberate - I sometimes add stuff just to sow a seed of doubt!" 3. Regarding the number of connections between (iv) and (v): "Again, the duplicate [REDACTED] symbol was just there to throw people off - the other two riddles on the previous page describe a “type” of symbol, whereas the correct one (as you’ve already figured out) describes a position around the clock face." Onwards to Autumn!

1. Regarding the number of solutions to (i): "you should have ended up with two words - the riddle describes everything you remove as an option (or “wash clean” if you like!)." Good work! I had a lot of trouble with this one - for example what to do with the shading on the bark.

Stuck with 0.5 (July) I am able to pick it up from V and think I have VII But I do want to solve it from the start (It annoys me if I don't understand the complete logic)
