Anyone missing their 3rd mailing? Are you a member at the MPC site? If so, have you checked the status of the mailing there? Did you receive an initial email with tracking number saying the 3rd mailing had been shipped or was in the process of being shipped? It's unusual that you would not have received a response to your enquiry. Did you send it via email or through the messaging service at the MPC site itself?

The spirit photo is nice (it's the artifact for the one-mailing experience), but it doesn't look nearly old enough for the period in which it was supposed to have been taken. The frame and mat are not distressed nearly enough. I've seen real spirit photos from the period and they're all pretty beaten up. My wife is the art director for the magazine we publish, so I know exactly what is required to produce a photograph like this. It's not difficult with Photoshop and a decent printer, and should not take more than an hour or so to doctor the photo. Having seen the two spirit photo examples we were presented in this thread, I have to agree. The age weathering and distressing is not very convincing, and to be honest, I wasn't impressed by the manipulation of the subjects inserted into the photos, particularly the resizing of them. I still feel that the seance add on was overpriced, and while I don't regret my decision to pass on it, I would love to have that cigarette case. I don't believe the cigarette case is custom made. Google "antique cigarette cases 1900" and you'll likely find one.

It just would have been cool to have received one in conjunction with the experience.

And thank you, professor, for your good memory (or good sense to make a note somewhere). When I look at what the price of all of the previous experiences, none cost as much (save The Century Beast) as the Seance Add On. It doesn't quite seem worth it. I learned from The Century Beast, that it might be a good idea to keep a copy of the KickStarter page before they redact all the information on it. As Doctor Jones Senior says, "I wrote it down so I wouldn't have to remember it."

To be fair, those are CAD prices. For USD, it was $273 for the base Experience and $513 for the Experience and The Seance, so not quite as much as the base Experience, but very close. Yes, those are the Canadian prices, as the KickStarter presented all the pledge levels in CAD (unless KS pages convert pricing depending on your region?). It's interesting to note that I've been a member of the MPC since close to the beginning (I think?) and I do remember that all of their experiences and subscriptions were originally priced in CAD. At one point they quietly switched their pricing to USD without any (as far as I can recall) fanfare.

As Doctor Jones Senior says, "I wrote it down so I wouldn't have to remember it." It is also still available using The Wayback Machine, but the quote alone was worth saving a copy.

My mailing need a picture for the spirit photo and a color selection for my artifact, that's why it hasn't shipped.

How many people spent the extra money to get the seance experience plus the customize your artifact option? Just wondering if I was the only one or other people got it also.

Just wondering if I was the only one or other people got it also. 52 people backed the campaign at The Seance level, 18 at The Bespoke Seance, 5 at the various Legacy levels and 1 at the Beloved Patron level. Besides those, people were allowed to upgrade their pledge after the campaign ended; these numbers are not available to us.

So while we wait, anyone have anymore thoughts about the third mailing? Notice something that might have been missed? For my part, I still keep staring at the poster wondering if it is hiding something.

I wonder whether the printers mark on the back of the poster has more to reveal. And being totally honest, I cant decipher the cursive message in the flip book. I've tried about a hundred times and got nowhere!

So while we wait, anyone have anymore thoughts about the third mailing? Notice something that might have been missed? For my part, I still keep staring at the poster wondering if it is hiding something. There's a passage in the Garden Diary's June 7, 1895 entry that caught my attention: "Ever since we were girls my part has always been to distract and enchant, but Lilibet always becomes the character she plays, body and soul." So I went back to the first mailing, and read the list of children's names admitted to the orphanage. There is a Helen Ashworth, who was admitted one month after Elizabeth Griggs.
