Any idea when this year's Membership Kits will be available.
I have yet to get one. Was too late last year and I don't want to miss out this year.

They'll be an announcement via email. They've changed C&C so radically, it will interesting to see what they do with the membership kits this year.

Speaking of membership, did you notice that The Membership Handbook can no longer be purchased? I seem to recall that just last year they began printing the Handbook using the new lantern sigil instead of the previous version.
Perhaps the Handbook is being re-written? Could it even be part of a future Membership Kit? After all, that was where the old Handbook originated.

Ack! I did not notice that there was a second edition of the handbook with a different emblem. Rats--would have ordered that. But I did notice that they've stopped selling it some time ago.
Maybe they just ran out of the printing. It's actually expensive to produce books of an odd size like that.

I found and joined MPC too late last year to purchase a Membership Kit. I'm looking forward to buying one this year though...I certainly hope they continue to include the Handbook.

Ack! I did not notice that there was a second edition of the handbook with a different emblem. I distinctly recall them announcing that the old version of the Handbook was running out, and to order quickly to receive that version. Perhaps they never started printing the new version of the Handbook after all, but just removed it from their website entirely? The Colouring Book out of Space has not been re-released either, in spite of it having been announced many months ago.

I had a weird thing last year where I ordered the Handbook at the same time as a bunch of the Experiences. The Experiences all got started pretty much right after I ordered them, but the Handbook seemed to be in limbo and was not getting shipped. After close to a month of it not being shipped, I went to check on the status and noticed that they had actually removed the Handbook from the website. I received this notification from them when I asked about it: "Regarding the Handbook, I must say, I am sorry for the delay. We have been awaiting a new shipment from our printer, and I hear this will likely only happen early in the new year! If you do want me to cancel this, I shall do so at once - just let me know!" I think it ended up shipping about two weeks after that message. Clearly, they haven't made it available for purchase since then, so maybe there was a printer issue in general or they decided there wasn't enough demand. I will say for anyone wondering that The Handbook, while a cool item, is definitely something I would consider non-essential, though there is a reference to it in a puzzle in C&C, though what it references can be found elsewhere in the MPC site.

Now I'm curious if there were any changes in the reprint.
And I'm wondering if they're holding it back for this year's Membership Kits.

I like the Handbook since it is the one item carving out a niche within the Company for those who would send Experiences to friends and loved ones - which is what I have been doing for the most part. It feeds the mischief that comes with being part of a secret society. Which of the sigils does your Handbook bear then? The old one or the new?

I've ordered and sent a handful of the Handbooks to friends. Some had no idea what to make of it!

The cover of mine is a gold version of the current logo. It says 8th Edition published April 2014. One thing that I'm curious about are the ranks that it discusses. Has anyone "achieved" these ranks, such as Devotee or Vanguard? Not sure how else to achieve them given that I've unlocked all three Vaults and they seem to suggest that it has to do with solving puzzles. And also, I should clarify. I'm definitely a fan of the Handbook and find a lot of it very funny/intriguing (I'm still haunted by the implications of the last un-blacked out word on page 20: "meats"). I just don't want people who didn't get a chance to purchase it to feel like they're missing out on all that much. It's a great item but not essential to getting the most out of the experiences or even C&C.

I was lucky to get one given their printing issues! Wait, did I get some weird combination of an old version and a new version?

We should compare them side-by-side... I am on my way to work now, but I will get back to you in the afternoon. -EDIT- You might have received the most recent version of the Handbook. For all we know, the sigil could be the only thing they changed.
