Im a huge HAK fan but have just completed the 1968 premium box and was very underwhelmed compared to the monthly boxes. I wouldn't recommend that box to anyone new to HAK. Note sure about the 1934 one. I do think HAK are new to the premium boxes and they will improve, but for now 1968 isn't worth the money imo. I'd agree with this, though I went through 1968 a second time recently and enjoyed it much more knowing everything that was going on. I personally thought 1934 in terms of an experience/unboxing was really incredible, especially the quality and interactivity of the items within, though, in the end, the mystery/solution to 1934 wasn't particularly special or great. In my opinion, there's just no comparison between 1934 and 1968; 1934 is by far the superior and more impressive product. I will say that I'm not at all invested in the storyline for the monthly boxes, so your mileage may vary quite a bit if you do enjoy the monthly boxes. I really want 1934 when they deliver to the Uk. I've heard it's superior to 1968, but then I'd hope so for the money! Re the monthly boxes, it's definitely one of those hit or miss things. I think the reason I enjoy it is many of the objects don't have solutions so you can investigate for days on end; even if the research comes to nothing the research (at least until the end reveal) feels endless. You don't get that from 1968 which is fine, but there were only two puzzles to solve, and I think if all the research is inside the box only I'd expect something a little more meaty rather than something with only a few hours play. It's interesting you got more from it once you knew the solution. I guess it's like rewatching a great movie where you already know the ending so can concentrate on the little details you missed first time around; I'll give it a try!

Anyone still subscribed? I've signed up for the first six boxes of Season 1 and have received the first two. Just wondering if anyone else is receiving Season 1 or is getting Season 2?

I just got box 5 of season 1. If they're charging your card each month ($27), you should be receiving boxes. Wasn't sure from your post if you meant several boxes are missing or if you're just early in the whole process. My adult kids and I are hoping to have another game night to start on these episodes but we've all been swamped lately and haven't made it happen. Frankly, I'm itching to get started as I see these things pile up. I'm trying not to peek at everything in advance.

I just signed up for a full year. Does anyone know if that means that this mystery will take 12 mailings. The website did not indicate. Thanks

Thanks From my understanding, the first "season" is 8 mailings (I'm about to get the eighth mailing and then cancel; feel free to PM if you want to discuss why I'm canceling). Then mailings 9-12 will be the first part of "Season 2" but will not be the whole season. I could be wrong about the second season's length, but I doubt it would be half the length of the first season.

Season 1 is 8 mailings and Season 2 is 6, per the inventory check page. www.huntakiller.com/inventoryI finished Season 1 before unsubscribing. It was a pretty good run but I didn't feel like jumping into season 2 straightaway. I also felt like they didn't do a particularly great job dropping breadcrumbs along the way compared to other experiences like MPC's.

If it wasn't for your link, I don't know how I would have known about the inventory page. Also, It won't let me look at any of the 'episodes.' I have a password, but it still won't let me in. I've emailed them for help. Thanks again

The password is on the little inventory slip which looks like a bookmark you got in your monthly envelope. You should have a different password for each episode.

I am in Season two now, and still enjoy the experience very much. Hope you'll enjoy it, too!

Just opened the first box. Contents are underwhelming and the box was torn in several places and the journal pages were separated from the spine. Keeping an open mind about the experience though.

Contact them about the box issue since something was damaged. I had several boxes arrive damaged but the *contents* were all right so I just mentioned it in the FB group (along with tons of other people who also received damaged boxes -- somebody at HAK doesn't know how to package boxes!) but I didn't pursue it further because the stuff inside was okay.
