I don't know if anyone's tried this but I just signed up. I think it's a new monthly put out by Mystery Experiences Company but I'm not 100% sure they're related. You hunt a serial killer in this service. Or it's some sort of mystery curated by a serial killer. I've signed up but haven't gotten anything yet. If anyone wants 10% off they gave me a link here: huntakiller.cratejoy.com/refer/Chris-WKLYXWSLIf anyone has any feedback let me know! Chrisy

I'm fairly certain this is not affiliated with the Mystery Experiences Company.
Thank you for starting the discussion. I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

I also could not resist. They should send their experiences at the 20th each month. At least that's what it said on their page. So let's see how long it takes it for this to reach me here in Germany with customs and all.

I just signed up, too! I'm anxious to see what it's like. I'll respond later in the month.

I have box 1 and it is definitely interesting, each "case" goes over several boxes 📦. It really draws you in! Very different from C&C which I like. It is easy to separate the two in my head.. investigative thinking is key in HaK..
This is not part of the Mystery Experiences Company. I tried that last year and did not like it.. a little too easy..
Hunt a Killer also has a forum on freeforums so worth checking out once you have your 1st box.. Happy Hunting!

Their facebook page had some interesting stuff...apparently they hosted an interactive real mystery hunt of some sort with teams of people in Maryland recently. The reviews were not stellar, mostly not spooky enough for people, but I think it was the first one they did and they seem open to feedback from the people that went to it. They also have a group on facebook you can join to discuss solving the boxes.

Looking forward to hearing more about what people think about this package. I too did the Mystery Experience Company packages for a bit last year and was disappointed. If only I knew to save everything to recoup my money on ebay!

Yes, I did. It is quite intriguing. Had lots of fun brooding over it with my girlfriend. This gives me a "Silence of the lambs" vibe. Right now there are a lot of open questions. Can't wait for the second shipment, which will build upon that story. And I already learned a few things. For example what else the word pen can mean.

Ok...I finally delved into my first HuntaKiller box tonight so here's my take...
This thing is not like Mystery Experiences or Mysterious Package....it's seriously hard to figure out and you'll go all over the place looking for clues that don't come in the box. Clues are hidden in random places on websites, but nothing is adding up to anything yet. From the feedback I've seen from other members, a lot more will unfold after more boxes come along. I believe it's a 4 box mystery story overall, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I'm not even sure what's a clue and what's a red herring at this point because not much has unfolded yet in the first box for me.
If you like easy...like I also finished my first Mystery Experiences box today...it's nothing like that.
If you like hard, like the deeply hidden stuff in C&C found by looking on websites and finding hidden mp3 files leading to more clues, I think you'll probably like it. After spending about 2 hours on it today I came across one puzzle, which I haven't even started to tackle yet.
I'm also a member on their forums and private facebook group now and the people further along in boxes are all giving rave reviews. The story unfolds. And the way they present it is VERY realistic.

I haven't received my first mailing yet, and have been told that it's secretly a 1/5 mailing, which seems like it would be important to note up front, since that means I need to invest at least 150 to get the full first case. I have nothing yet to make me believe I would enjoy a more expensive version of the same yet. We shall see!
