I have completed the Crossword if anyone needs hints or help! Ditto. That being said, I've not gone any deeper on the crossword. I got the overall theme, as reinforced by the circled letters. I suspect there's a deeper level based on the fact that both the crossword and the word search are 15x15 grids and I know there's a connection between the two 5x5 grid puzzles on the page. Not sure if the connection has to do with matching the circled letters in the crossword to letters in the word search or matching found words in the word search to answers in the crossword. Regarding the 15x15 grid. If you take the crossword circles and overlay them on the word search... You will get three locations. OR maybe i'm just making a stretch there.

57 down guys? Has anyone gotten the hidden paragraph all the first issue crosswords were known for? I fear we're missing a big clue

57 down guys? Has anyone gotten the hidden paragraph all the first issue crosswords were known for? I fear we're missing a big clue This one I had trouble with. I looked up the official list of nicknames for MPC's home city but the actual answer was nowhere on the list I found. Now that I have the answer (and I Googled that), it appears I should have started with Urban Dictionary or possibly a HuffPo article about our favorite Canard trying to change the city's nickname from 57 down to "The 6".

How do you come to your solution I come out with random letters : njnaly If you read them in the same order as the secret message from the crossword, it comes to NJ (New Jersey) NY (New York) AL (Alabama) But then again, it may be a stretch. I also don't dig it so much because it isn't following the same format as the other secret messages.

I think you are having trouble with the MPC's penchant for puns. 9 Down - It's amazing what a kiss will do. 16 Across - This "word" is disguised by its lack of vowels. 19 Across - All in one piece, but one letter short. 24 Across - Half of another word for a pair of glasses. 8 Down - This clue escapes me. I only know what it is because the rest of my answers fit. Perhaps someone else can help with the pun. 24 Down - This will become clear when you get 24 Across. I believe I may kind of understand the pun of 8 down A mythical billibong lurker has an additional letter in it's name... this is not one so it is missing a letter?
My best guess anyway. It seems to fit. On that note, with all of your guys help I was able to fill in the last few letters of the crossword. I put together a word out of the circled letters. Is there another step anyone has come across, for what comes next? I did see the part about over laying the crossword with the word search and came up with the same letters as a few others. Anything else to note?

What if find the difference instructions about 5 differences applies to more puzzles thane one? the crossword as important answers like "need a hand" "obey" "absolute (ly) ignored" "itact" (attacked) can anyone help find a reason to link these?

Something that seemed interesting were the italicized clues. I wonder if we use those to start.

Something that seemed interesting were the italicized clues. I wonder if we use those to start. My first-pass reading of the italicized clues was each clue was a "before" state and the answers for the clues were all the "after" states. It fits with the overall theme of change. An egg becomes a tadpole. The tadpole becomes a prince. One thing becomes another. Change. A man becomes a wolf becomes a man and lead (with proper application of accelerated particles) becomes gold.
