Something that seemed interesting were the italicized clues. I wonder if we use those to start. My first-pass reading of the italicized clues was each clue was a "before" state and the answers for the clues were all the "after" states. It fits with the overall theme of change. An egg becomes a tadpole. The tadpole becomes a prince. One thing becomes another. Change. A man becomes a wolf becomes a man and lead (with proper application of accelerated particles) becomes gold. The "after" states are all also celestial bodies of some kind. Constellations, nebulas, galaxies, etc. It seems like the stars are aligning for something big...

May be nothing, but would like to note that a shape seems to form when looking at the black parts of the crossword. Something almost like a flower. If you divide the spaces around the central circle it is almost like there are 8 sections around it, which reminds me of the compass rose and the 8 letters around that.

I think you are having trouble with the MPC's penchant for puns. 9 Down - It's amazing what a kiss will do. 16 Across - This "word" is disguised by its lack of vowels. 19 Across - All in one piece, but one letter short. 24 Across - Half of another word for a pair of glasses. 8 Down - This clue escapes me. I only know what it is because the rest of my answers fit. Perhaps someone else can help with the pun. 24 Down - This will become clear when you get 24 Across. I believe I may kind of understand the pun of 8 down A mythical billibong lurker has an additional letter in it's name... this is not one so it is missing a letter?
My best guess anyway. It seems to fit. On that note, with all of your guys help I was able to fill in the last few letters of the crossword. I put together a word out of the circled letters. Is there another step anyone has come across, for what comes next? I did see the part about over laying the crossword with the word search and came up with the same letters as a few others. Anything else to note? 8 down: When it's not a...

Well this is my first issue, and I thought I was pretty clever before I started... It appears as though I was mistaken. After doing as much as i could on my own wits, i then used the power of google and now have gone through your above comments and I am down to my last 4 clues that solve in the same block so really I only need two answers to finish the puzzle... 63 across, 69 across, 57 down, and 59 down. TIA

TIA Don't fret, my friend. The Curios and Conundrums is designed by people of many mindsets and mind types and awarenesses, and likewise will require all of that working together to solve. Here are some hints. 63 across: Your first acquaintance in Pokemon. 69 Across: This one was confusing for me too. To narrow the car part down for you, think wheels and the parts that make up an entire wheel. Now grab the UK spelling for it. 57 down: 59 down: can't really think of a good hint without giving it entirely away. The 3 above will help spell it out for you

Has anyone dug into the possibility of the Crossword and Word Search being related (due to their 15x15 grids)? I was messing around with the black spaces in the crossword and their matching letters in the word search but came up with gibberish. Hmmm... Any thoughts?

I have been playing around with the same thing also taking note of letters used in the actual wordsearch and those not. Nothing of interest yet!

I was messing around with the black spaces in the crossword and their matching letters in the word search but came up with gibberish. Hmmm... Any thoughts? I made an attempt at overlaying the word search letters in the grid and solving it as a cryptogram crossword, but there were too many weird double letter combos (and one triple one) that didn't work together in such a way for it to be regular words. Using non-regular words isn't standard protocol for something with no clues, so I didn't take the idea any further.

bit in a pickle. found the circled letters of the crossword, but didn't solve the complete crossword at all. Finding this the most difficult, maybe £I am not naturally englisch speaking or just not my thing. I suppose it will be important later on to have it completly solved though...moving next to the last first level of a puzzle in the meantime (horoscope which I think I found a direction about what I need to do there, but got the same shortcoming there I guess with having a good voc to find it easely, so will depend heavy on internet searches there too)

Did anyone else have their previously correct answer for this puzzle suddenly disappear for no apparent reason? I had solved this one months ago, and when I logged in yesterday, for whatever reason, this puzzle was showing as unsolved...just this one...
