For those that made copies of their tickets, You can just fold the flaps of the ticket back, and it'll form the correct thing.

The ticket suitable for framing they delivered doesn’t work for what I assumed without cutting off the flaps and arranging them so my frame showing both sides. I was hoping for a fancy, embossed, gilded more “standard” style ticket I could frame with the one sheet from the King in Yellow experience. Right now, what I got was neat but not worth the $25 I pledged plus the $30 shipping I paid. FedEx was a rip-off for this and I’m basically meh. If I had a few extra hundred to pay for the full experience, fine. But I paid for just the ticket because while i’m not fully behind the direction the company has been going, I still wanted to support them. So I got a “meh” ticket plus a coin. And I can’t be the only one who does not give a shit about the challenge coins, can I? Since I haven't seen the package myself yet, was it a box or flat envelope? Either way, the postage charge seems egregious. I assumed that we saw the postage charges on our kickstarter pledges, but have reviewed mine and cannot find it. Before you post here using language the rest of us generally avoid, shouldn't you contact the MPC first and see if there's a resolution to your issue? And I'm sure someone would be happy to take that challenge coin off your hands.

I believe we did. What may be different for each of us though is the venue. Mine is local and historic. I thought it might have been made up but it is, indeed, a real theatre that closed in 1940. Intriguingly, mine is also local but, if it's the theater I assume they're referring to, it's still very much active. It also happens to be a ten minute drive from the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society....

And I'm sure someone would be happy to take that challenge coin off your hands. It was a flat envelope with 2 pieces of paper in it. 1 was the ticket and the other was like print out of a purchase confirmation for the 'performance.' Here is what the page said about the shipping: Dependant on your pledge, the product will potentially be a multi-mailer, quite large and heavy (base product approx. 15lbs), resulting in relatively high shipping fees. The weight of the product may also increase slightly based on unlocked stretch goals. Shipping costs as currently estimated: Base Product Only North America US: US$30 Canada: US$30 Europe UK: US$95 Ireland: US$95 Oceania Australia: US$65 New Zealand: US$65 --- As you can see, these are quotes for the base product, not the ticket only option. I ended up paying $50 for shipping to the US for the base product

Mine is a real theatre in my state, but not my town. There were two options for local vintage theatres they could have used -- one active, one abandoned.

I did find that on the web site mentioned in the letter, that at least two things typed into the search engine pulls up the SRDA notice.
Both "Hastur", and "King in Yellow" do this. There may be more. Everything about this mailing is geared to drive us towards the website, which itself is geared to drive us towards the page with the graphic.

One of my other favorite companies that makes products somewhat similar to these, the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society, frequently hides HPL or HPLHS in documents and newspaper articles that they produce.

I imagine I'll feel like an idiot, but I still don't understand the roman numerals puzzle from the Kickstarter video or Update #6. Can anyone give some help?

We have an important update about the The King in Yellow ticket: It has evolved into a prominent element in the overall experience. As such, we want to ensure all our backers receive it at the same time, which means your ticket will now ship in October. To make up for this delay we will be including a complimentary HASTUR Challenge Coin at no additional shipping cost. The coin will be sent along with the ticket.
Did anyone get a coin?
