And has anyone seen this message that was supposed to address the rumors? On the 21st they said they would send it out "tomorrow" according to Geodus. And today is the 23rd. And it's evening here in Kansas so pretty much night time on the east coast. Isn't Toronto on the east coast? The longer they take to reveal something, anything they more annoyed I get. Lie to me once shame on you, lie to me twice shame on me for bothering with you.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me three times and you must be the MPC.

After sending 3 emails in the past week, I've been told that "[my] photo has been forwarded to our creative team and you can expect your mailings to resume next week." I don't want to get my hopes up just yet, but maybe I'll receive my completed experience in the end...

Well super sad to see C&C end. I have just gotten started with back issues. Having a tight budget does not allow for many indulgences and this was one of them. I guess MPC has lost a customer. ☹️

The general advice seems to be to buy Vols.1 to 3 and skip 4. The vault is also still there (actually in two places, now) to give you some incentive.

One thing struck me when I read that post: they obviously are reading the forums here. That's a good thing, and I hope they understand the reasons for our recent criticisms and take heart to our suggestions. Collectively, members (over 1,500) of this forum have probably spent somewhere between $300,000 and $500,00 on MPC Experiences and C&C, and while that may be a small faction of their total revenue, it's still pretty significant. A smaller fraction of the forum (myself included) have purchased every offering ever made available by MPC. We are obviously vested. So, MPC, if you're listening, keep in mind that while we may have been your biggest fans based on your successes of the past, we're also your sharpest critics when you misstep. Oh, we can certainly forgive, overlook, and even be apologists for the occasional missed date, misplaced shipment, and even cancelled experiences. But when you stumble and alienate your core fan base with inadequate and insulting messaging, clumsy web site updates, and change the very persona of the company we lauded, it's not surprising that many of these patrons are saying "No more." You can turn the ship around, but it won't be easy to regain our trust. I'd recommend the following: - Work on improving the quality of communication with your customers. Style and elegance used to be a hallmarks of MPC, but recent missives and communiques have seemed uncomfortably amateurish. We expect far, far better.
- Bring back the Mystery into MPC. What many of us enjoyed about C&C was the idea that behind this simple package company was something much more complex, connected, and even sinister. We would often scour each bit of communications looking for hidden messages and secretive hints. We just don't see that anymore. Keep in mind that being uncommunicative is not really mysterious, it's just uncommunicative.
- Be more exclusive. MPC used to feel like a private club with an application, but now it just feels like another web site hawking products. Don't mass produce so many of your experiences that you need to discount them to get rid of your inventory -- that just makes them feel cheap to anyone who bought them at full price. Make them in limited quantities so that you sell out completely in 3 months or so. For anyone who missed out on a purchase, the next one will seem that much more exclusive and more valuable.
- Utilize your fan base. You're obviously here on the forum. Use us for research. Ask us for questions about what we'd like to see in the future. Ask us for feedback about your shipping. Drop cryptic hints to entice us and get us speculating on the new things your doing instead of speculating about your demise.
Number 4 big time I don't post here a lot, but have lurked from time to time. I used to love MPC. However, its former luster is definitely now tarnished. MPC lost me when the Sitting Room went down and didn't come back. That's part of why reason #2 above resonates with me. Back then, it did feel like a secret society, one where its deepest mysteries could only be gleaned by sharing obscure hints and clues, over a glass of whiskey in a smoky back room with other shady characters, all of whom arrived to the scene under the cloud of a dark and hidden past. It was like living a mystery novel! When the Sitting Room closed, that meeting place was gone, and with it, the feeling that you were part of an underground network of like-minded initiates, complete with challenge coins, secret handshakes and passwords, member cards, and even a handbook. But when the "new" Curios and Conundrums format came out, instead of some cryptic and engaging puzzles containing a deeper hidden meaning yet to discover, instead it was simply perplexing, and not in a good way....now I've got a collection of less-than-stellar pewter paperweights, some tie tack pins, a helluva lot of stickers I'll never use, and some paper projects I'm going to give to my kids because it's a waste of my time to fuss with something I'm only going to look at with disdain and then round-file! Where is the mystery? The other day, I was going through my closet and there on a shelf were those four stupid boxes from the last volume that I have no interest in ever opening or working through. Sad to say, I tossed them all. I had really high hopes for continued fun with MPC when I joined. Unfortunately, the thrill is gone and I'm not sure there's much they could do at this point to get me to purchase any future offerings. Sad. Ashenden

I'm coming in a little late on this thread, but wanted to add another small frustration to the list of big frustrations.
I backed the Centruy Beast, and received the Very Personal Note, which included the discount code. I tried to use it the other day, and it didn't work. When contacting their help, I was informed that apparently the discount code expired, and in a disappointing moment of customer service was told "As stated in our Terms & Conditions, "MPC has the right to turn discounts or promotions on or off at their discretion."
It was a 20% discount. I had been saving it for when my budget was flexible enough for another large experience. I had hoped that even if the code expired, they would at least offer me another discount. Apparently not. It seems as though the customer service is lacking, these days.

I need to stop reading this board --- if anyone ever thought there hasn't been a sea-change of management philosophy at MPC this is just another nail in their crate.

I still have mine and had been planning to use it too. If the right experience comes along I'll still attempt it, and if I get the same reply you did I'll ask them to delete my account from their site. They need us more than we need them.

Actually, I think their goal is not to need us. They don't want to produce products this group wants any more.
I'm greatly looking forward to The Wilson Wolfe Affair and the next two experiences from The Armchair Detective Company.
