The third mailing (with artifact) arrived today.
I *really* liked the artifact.
I *really* liked the crate. Although, I'm finding that the top panel easily splits when prying it open. I don't like when the crate gets damaged.

Here's a tip I've used for getting the lids off without damage (for the most part). I insert a paint scraper between the lid and the box at one of the ends and wiggle it back and forth, then slowly upward. Do this on all four corners. The lid will now be slightly elevated. If you push the lid down, the nails will remain protruding. This makes it a lot easier to get some leverage under them in order to pull them out.
And, as usual, while I was sent a notice of shipment on 1/26, there is no shipping information available on the link and I haven't received anything. Argh!

Well, here in the UK I received the crate this morning. ... Anyone who hasn't ordered this yet really should get right on it. I like to take my time over crates and I almost hesitate to say it for spoilers but I started reading the first page of the journal, got to *that* line and no really don't read this unless you have the box so I read *that* line swore out loud and laughed and immediately grabbed the *redacted* and smashed it open and laughed and laughed and laughed again WONDERFUL!
Enough spoilers?

I've have not been as much "into" this experience as most others because of the puzzle aspect, which I have not been able to experience. Thus the artifact was a disappointment to me. A mummy's hand would have been a lot better in my opinion.

I received a tracking number two weeks ago, but the package hasn’t even been received by the shipper yet. I am most disappointed. I haven’t received this or Cult yet. I hope they manage to find time to pop it in the mail soon. :/

The tracking numbers don't seem to mean anything any more. Mine still led to records which said that the shipper was awaiting the package, when in fact the packages were in my house!

Finally got the third mailing today. Definitely a meh reaction from me, but I acknowledge that this whole Experience wasn't really my taste. I actually enjoyed the drawing in the last page in the journal more than the Artifact. However, I did highly enjoy what craigrj alluded to in his post (the one about the description in the first page in the journal). I was wondering why that object was so plain looking!

I don’t want to do the thing! >.< So worth it, especially if you like smashing things! I smashed it! That said, I took photos and videos, so if anyone else doesn't want to do the thing, or wants to see if the thing is worth doing, let me know. O.O As far as the hieroglyphs go, the blue scarab says "Woman (sun, time) perfection" The nefer symbol which is a symbol for the heart and trachea and it usually means good/beautiful, but in triple like that, it means perfection. That symbol is also used in the name Nefertiti. I am only a beginner in reading Hieroglyphs, but I think it means "the woman of eternal perfection" or something similar.

The artifact itself has some hieroglyphs in both sides. The front has a woman and a guy with an animal head. The hieroglyphics above read sth or ‘seth’. The reverse has the hieroglyph for Set/Seth, the ‘shrine’ glyph then ‘seated queen’.

I also took a fun artsy pic of the original item to print on nice paper and add back into the crate, and saved all of the pieces as well. Thanks for the lead on the symbols. I'm trying to relate them back to the journal and wondering what it could mean.

At the 10th anniversary of the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction in Disneyland, Disney held a merchandise event and party. One of the things we were given was a block of something hard, that was meant to be smashed open to reveal the item inside . Junior archaeologists unite!

Ugh, that sounds awesome. I had the honor of helping my best friend (who works on something media related for WDW in Florda) create a one time experience "capsule" announcing Pandora and it was super cool. Disney and their fun ideas...
