And distantsmoke, just to stay with your allegory: That would be as if the French would tell you it's ok to visit Eiffel Tower but you aren't allowed to visit Louvre.

It would be less frustrating if they wouldn't also allow delivery to the UK. Apparently getting things beyond that island is impossible for them. Did I tell you that I am getting the original HuntAKiller every month? They just went with that strange exclusiveness for everything else. The new experience isn't more expensive than that and I would gladly pay the same sum I pay for HAK each month to get this... Hi there, I do want to note that firstly this is EF's soft launch, aimed at customers who cancelled their subscriptions to HAK, it is not publicly advertised yet. More options may become available once they open up EF to its full customer base. To address Chrisu's comments, it is not about being able to ship beyond the UK but more a question of cost and import charges. Many countries have additional import and customs charges to the customer when a package is over certain dimensions or contains certain items. Once a package hits a certain threshold of size and weight the shipping cost can increase considerably.. Many of us have also heard customers feedback on DHL, the most afoldable but but also the most difficult company to work with. HAK is doing its due diligence at ensure international customers receive the same shipping experience as their US customers.

Let me just add that for the last half year my packages for HAK haven't been stopped by customs. So no extra cost there. And even before I just paid the charges. I just don't get why there is any difference between one EU country (well technically they are leaving the EU but still) and the rest of the EU.

Very interesting that this is aimed at people who canceled their HaK subscription. That would explain why I never got a promotional email about it! I confess that I'm much more interested in a horror subscription box than in a serial killer box, so this may ultimately surpass HaK for me.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm #1262. One question was something like, "How likely are you to cancel if you get scared?" I'm not likely to cancel, so maybe that helped me get accepted.

I pine for the day that the US allows for the sale of Kinder Eier :/ I THINK you can import them, but that can get expensive. I remembered this comment last week, but couldn't find an article about it until just now. Behold: www.foodandwine.com/news/kinder-eggs-arrived-america

Oh, I've bought these! They don't compare to the original Kinder eggs for the older kids in the family though. I think there's something satisfying about finally learning how to pry open those little yellow capsules that the U.S. ones just don't offer. They're jaded teenagers now, so it's all about the nostalgia I think. Luckily the little ones don't mind though. We even got that cool bike one time. Last year the regular ones I brought from Germany had a ton of Elsa and Anna stuff from Frozen in them, so the little girls were thrilled. We had some of these odd, monster ones too that I bought at World Market (not Kinder.) The prizes were not nearly as clever, but again, the little ones liked them. Chocolate and candy... really, how can you go wrong? Oh, and what's odd is that the monster ones are like the original Kinder surprise with the entire capsule inside. I have no idea why the FDA approved them and not regular Kinder eggs.
I'll have to figure out where I bought the U.S. ones though because Saint Nikolaus Day is coming soon, so we'll be putting out our shoes! Thanks for the reminder.

Oops! I forgot the photo! These were the ones at World Market. The little ones were impressed, but the older ones knew they were just a cheap copy of original Kinder Surprise.

Oh, yeah, I've seen these before. I tried to find a place around where I live that sold them, but didn't have a lot of luck. I read as much about them as I could and I think I found that they're not quite as good. What I like about the proper kinder eier is that usually the little toys inside are in pieces that you put together yourself, which made the eggs pretty unique in my opinion.

I don't get this subscription. I was approved but the membership is... sold out? How does that make any sense?

I don't get this subscription. I was approved but the membership is... sold out? How does that make any sense? They did an initial subscription of only 2000. But from what I understand they’re opening it back up tomorrow for an additional 500 subscriptions. I could be wrong though.

I don't get this subscription. I was approved but the membership is... sold out? How does that make any sense? The edition called Clockwork Mutineers is "sold out". It should be available in a few weeks as a separate order. The next edition in the subscription is *** Oblivion (sorry my memory isn't as good as it used to be). If you have subscribed to Curios and Conundrums, you will be debited for that edition in Dec, and then it will be shipped. You are jumping in at the last edition for 2017. Which is fine. I don't think you need the other three 2017 editions to enjoy it.
