Also, craigrj, to answer your question, yes, looks the same as the KS.

Well, since we're talking about a small chunk of hair (artificial or not) in an experience where everything else is fake (printed or made for the occasion) then I don't see any point in providing "real" hair when it's the only "real" thing.

Perhaps if the other pieces in the experience were a little more convincing in terms of realism, fake hair would have been more problematic. As it was delivered, nothing struck me as terribly authentic. But it's one of the few stretch goals they managed to deliver. I think real hair, papercraft house, and multiple endings qualify as being met. Real blueprints and twice the number of objects to interact with the artifact are both fails in my book.

Actually, regardless of the overall quality of the artifacts, I found the lock of real hair from an actual human being delightfully creepy.

Yes, there's no doubt they were not real blueprints (nor did they remotely resemble real blueprints).
Considering what the artifact actually was, the only way you could provide something to interact with it would be to find a second person who owns one so the two of you could rub noses.

Beckett, if that's the way you feel, then a trip to any hair salon should cause you to pass out in a panic.

Mailing #2 hit the UK today, and another big content drop. When I get the time I will list what's in here to see how it compares with KS.

I don't have the mailing in front of me, but looks right. The really interesting mailing here is going to be the next one, as that's the one where there was an optional (and extremely expensive) add-on that told a side story about some of the characters in the mailing. I didn't opt for it, but people posted pictures and it seemed very extensive and it would be interesting if they decided to include anything from it in the regular experience. The third mailing, incidentally, is my favorite one of Filigree.

Well I can't believe any add-on stuff would make it into the package, but even so there is a certain irony that whilst CnC went downhill, their 2017 experiences (so far!) are surpassing the earlier ones.

The Seance Add-On was $300 extra. For those of us who paid that, I really hope none of it makes it into the general experience which costs far less.

They did, however, stop short of proclaiming The Séance to be kickstarter-exclusive, if memory serves. I do not have the original campaign description on me, although I believe it went something along the lines of there being no guarantee The Séance would ever be available again.
