From a production perspective, I can see how it's convenient to not be scrambling to find a supplier for, say, toothbrushes one quarter and salad tongs the next.
But if the curios don't play into puzzles, I don't see the point of them at all.
This exactly. I'm really disappointed that both of the "artifacts" we've received so far are pretty much the same thing. Maybe if they played into a puzzle (which is technically still possible), but I'm really tempted to cancel after this issue.

I'm going to ride it out through Countdown, and if it looks like Vol. 5 will continue this trajectory, I'm done. I'll save my money and do the experiences instead. There's no point in the same stuff every month if it has nothing to do with solving the puzzles.
