With it's time travel theme, Clockwork Mutineers would seem to have a Tempus Fugit tie-in.
Feel free to discuss...

"Clockwork" could simply be a reference to time travel, but it could also have steampunk connotations.

I've received three identical emails from MPC since Friday trying to sell me Tempus Fugit. At least they appear identical in my mobile viewer. Perhaps there is some sort of time loop?

If it's truly related to Tempus Fugit, which is likely, it would be more straightforward sci-fi than steampunk, though steampunk would be great both because of how neat and interesting it is and because it would be right in line with the MPC's love of Victorian-era works. Also, if this acts the same way as Gods of Madness did for King in Yellow i.e. provide a bit more to the story of Tempus Fugit, that would be most welcome; I've said here before that I find Tempus Fugit's story very lacking, and this would be a great way to perhaps provide some sort of clearer resolution, or at least fill in some of the gaps in the storytelling.

I've received multiple emails promoting Tempus Fugit as well. The name of the next issue seems to allude to the new signature, "The Mutinous Package Company"...

I, for one, am tired of C&C serving as a commercial for the experiences.

You can opt out of the emails promoting the experiences by contacting the concierge.

No, I mean the C&C mailings themselves. Gods of Madness was a nod to King in Yellow, and so it goes with these next two. I get that there's going to be some crossover in audience between C&C and the experiences, but it leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth for Vol. 4 of C&C to sort of serve as springboards into the experiences.

You know.........back in the dark ages when I was a small child, clockwork men or mechanical men were often how robots were referenced.

If steampunk's your thing, I recommend the Burton & Swinburne books by Mark Hodder.

I grew up on Stanislaw Lem, Heinlein, and Bradbury as well as numerous others from the golden age of sci fi. I've tried steampunk and so far haven't found it satisfying. But thank you for trying.

So, I noticed today that if you copy/paste the redacted text on the current C&C page it gives you things like "redacted one two three four", "double redacted" etc. It's most likely that whoever put the page together was just having fun, but maybe there's a code to it or something, I don't know.

Just received the first full-on email about this yesterday. Seems to tie it to Tempus Fugit. I also saw at the bottom they were specifically calling for feedback on "The Brain Butchers".
