For those hankering after the glory days of CnC volume three (er....), I've found this: cryptogrampuzzlepost.tumblr.com/It's yet another UK-originated mailing but (a) it's really cheap (b) it's all about the puzzles and the presentation (c) each "season" is just three mailings, with a prize at the end of each season for completing it (something little no doubt, but a nice trophy perhaps) At £7.50 per month, or £20 per season, or £70 for the entire year...well...I went in for the year, sight unseen, that's one heck of a bargain if it lives up to the online preview.

Do you want to exchange PMs or post here on the first month - there's some information about where we got to that you might find useful, and your take on the puzzles might push us over the hump ditto.

Let me know if you think this product deserves a separate section on the forum. I'd hate to be restricting your conversation to a single thread if it merits a multi-thread area.

I'll let the other two weigh in, but I don't think it's complicated enough to require multiple threads (not so far, at least)

it's an interesting collection - I'm waiting until I get home after work tonight to work through the number paths in (iii)... the yellow ink on (iv) is going to drive me up the wall I think. Did you see the symbols in the bottom left corners? I wonder if they mean something

Haven't received mine yet, but it'll likely show up today or tomorrow. Squirrel, are you located in the UK? Only curious since I assume that international shipping would take a bit longer.

Also Todd, without having the latest mailing in hand yet (which sounds like it will be tougher than previous ones), I don't think there's a need for multiple threads yet. As far as we know, there aren't any significant metapuzzles that would warrant us needing to deep dive into each mailing in separate threads. However, Craig and I have done a bit of speculating about the possibility of there being a bigger hidden puzzle with some aspects of it that seem innocuous for now, so maybe later on. We'll keep you "post-ed."

I'm in Dublin, so it doesn't need to travel too far outside the U.K.

Todd that's very decent of you, I think at the moment it's ok - we're all pretty much on a par, we all get the monthly mailing at roughly the same time and progression from puzzle (i) to (vii) is not such that you really work on multiple puzzles at once. On the other hand, for someone buying a load of back numbers at once and trying to sort through here for hints would be tough, but at the moment it's only an annual commitment: although the creator intends future years, it might end up being one year and done, so let's hold fire for now please.

Just bought the whole year this week. Obviously haven't received anything yet, but I am hoping that this and some of the other amazing things I've recently signed up for will keep me occupied long enough for armchair detective company to at least start coming up with hard ship dates we can drool over. But this also looks amazing. I can't wait!

But this also looks amazing. I can't wait! Welcome to the club! For some reason, I tend to find these very difficult to solve and usually need at least a hint or three along the way (craigrj and squirrel are both wizards with this and have been hugely helpful). This is not to say that they're poorly designed or unfair; on the contrary, they're wonderful and creative puzzles and often beautiful to look at. There's just something about the logic of them that often eludes me. Still, I've gotten them all right so far, and am more than happy to help if you need a hint.

This forum is a treasure trove of interesting things and I've signed up to more than I probably should
