...oh and something we haven't really mentioned too much here: CPP is designed around seasons - three issues makes up one season. One issue comprises seven puzzles, usually linked in some way. At the end of puzzle vii you will end up with a word or a phrase to email off to Jack. Get all three right for a particular season and...with your next mailing you will get an art prize. It's a physical art piece? I was expecting a digital image. Dangit, now I'm REALLY going to have a hard time not bingeing....

I’m actually taking the other months home with me to entertain/confound various family members. (Hurray for small flat puzzle packages ) I’m going to have to stockpile some appropriately dreadful prizes.

I just ordered the year and having it shipped to my mum in the UK to save the shipping! It will be a fun game to do on the beach when I meet her in Mexico in February!

site (https://cryptogrampuzzlepost.tumblr.com/) mentions delays due to printers being closed for holidays... but says he's working to get back on schedule.

Just received the first 9 issues...any advice on how to begin? Do I start on the outside of each envelope?

Just received the first 9 issues...any advice on how to begin? Do I start on the outside of each envelope? Nope. Start with the first page in the envelope, so (i). Solving the puzzle from i will give you answer that will help you solve the next puzzle on page ii, and so on and so on until you get to the last page and get a final answer. But, to be cryptic, you will occasionally need to think outside the page for the puzzles, so to speak. There should be an intro page with a music playlist in each envelope that gives the instructions for how to solve as well.

Question: Not that I need another hobby, but... Would anyone else be interested if I tried to build a wikia or some sort for CPP? I know there was one that was started for CnC back in the day but don't think it was updated after season 2?

I don’t think it’s needed, as all it would really be is giving away the answers to puzzles. I mean I guess you could create entries for the characters, and there are some red herrings/Easter eggs in the visual and puzzle design of each envelope that could be cool to document, but those are also often there to trip you up, so highlighting them could potentially give some puzzles away. Just my two cents.

Just my two cents. Hmmm, that's fair. I guess I was thinking more of a 'this is HOW you solve them' rather than giving straight answers. Like for a cryptogram, ok, know the most common letters and letter pairings, which letters are likely to be doubles, etc. Maybe with different hint levels like: For 1 (i): Spoiler level 1: even if the symbols aren't letters you can still have a cryptogram Spoiler level 2: Common letters in the alphabet are... Spoiler level 3: Look at the pictures, they may help you solve the cryptogram Spoiler level 4: The first word is the picture: LEAF. I really like documenting how things work - I have a whole notebook of the carefully written out explanations of individual puzzles, because I like to keep the originals in good condition to loan them to friends. Also an excuse for my washi tape obsession Who knows, I may just do a blog on blogspot or something.

I would suggest you write off to Jack first and make the suggestion - on his Facebook page he was canvasing places for people to go to for hints etc and I posted here and he sort of adopted it as a recommendation. He may of course prefer a dedicated wikia as a single shop stop and indeed I'd be interested in helping construct such a thing, but I'd rather it had Jack's blessing first.
