A note from The Curator that the first mailing of Demon Jar (Holiday Edition) has been shipped. Nothing on the tracking number yet, though, so I imagine it will actually go in the mail next week.

I got that too, but I don't usually expect a tracking number for the mailings until they send the artifact.

I just received what I think is the bonus mailing. It's a gift so I don't want to open it until next weekend but living in NY anything can come from Niagara Falls haha. I'm pretty sure this is it though.

How odd.
The first mailings each of the Demon Jar and the Treasure of John Auger were sent out one day apart. The Demon Jar had a note saying that Standard Shipping is not tracked, yet the Treasure of John Auger included a tracking number. I assumed that they were both typical first mailing envelopes ...
How mysterious these packages are ...

Just got the bonus mailing today. Short and sweet, and it successfully creeped out my wife (there's nothing explicit on it but it certainly creates a sense of dread of what's to come).
professor, I'm having a strange "experience" as it were with John Augur and Demon Jar as well. Demon Jar shipped a day before John Augur and both have tracking numbers. Demon Jar arrived today and has been trackable the whole time, while John Augur is apparently not found by USPS. This is particularly notable as I'm currently having several other experiences sent to me as well, and all have been arriving on time and have been trackable. If there's still nothing found by tomorrow, I'll reach out to the MPC and I'll update here.

First mailing of The Demon Jar arrived. I have no idea what to make of it.

There was also a weekend involved. And while the shipping notifications were a day apart, one was about noon, and the other was pushing 4 PM. And remember that MPC calls the US destined packages "shipped" when they are transferred to their remailer, not when they are actually entered at the USPS.
I don't think there's anything unusual yet. I expect those of us in the US see USPS tracking by Tuesday or Wednesday, and almost all will be delivered by Saturday.

Having received both, it makes sense now.

Just as a quick and minor follow-up, my John Augur package is now trackable, so all is well. I know the suspense was killing everyone.

Finally got my bonus mailing after it got hung up with the post office. It was nice and simple. I can only imagine what it would be like for someone who didn't know they were getting this.

I opened mine today (I was a good boy and waited haha) and felt the same way. Why you expect it it doesn't seem like much, but if you imagine not knowing, it's a pretty cool teaser. Sort of makes me think about the marketing aspect of the MPC. To get the full experience, you want it to be a surprise. But the marketing is most attractive to the person that would want to be the recipient, not the sender. So unless someone knows you really well and discovers the MPC before you, you arent likely to get the full effect.
