I'm sure that there's more to that postcard than meets the eye, but can't figure out what it is. Hmmmm ....

Sort of makes me think about the marketing aspect of the MPC. To get the full experience, you want it to be a surprise. But the marketing is most attractive to the person that would want to be the recipient, not the sender. So unless someone knows you really well and discovers the MPC before you, you arent likely to get the full effect. I felt the same from day one - of all the people I know, I would have been the most excited to learn about the Company by way of an unannounced, unspoilt Experience. Which does of course mean that I was also the most likely to come across the Company by myself...

Beckett, I've finally found a friend that doesn't know enough about "my puzzle newspapers" to know about the experiences AND loves horror scary stuff. I'm trying to decide if I want to surprise him with Weeping Book or Risen.

I'm trying to decide if I want to surprise him with Weeping Book or Risen. Finally! I hope it is someone you can reasonably expect to consult with you about any strange packages they might receive! A good friend of mine is about the receive the third mailing of Risen! any day now, and she is certainly excited about it. I could not send The Weeping Book yet, since the person I intend to send it to did just recently move, and I have not been able to inconspiciously ask for their new address. I decided to send them The Weeping Book since I thought they might enjoy its puzzle component. So, did you read about The Lost Treasure of John Augur yet? From what I gather, it seems to be a good deal more mature than Under the Ceiba Tree, and the descriptions of its contents so far sound downright luxurious. This might just be what you have been waiting for.

This might just be what you have been waiting for. I did! Without puzzles, though, I'm reticent. I really don't need to collect "stuff." I have enough "stuff" with the C&C papers! You missed an opportunity to ask, if you send holiday cards! I don't know if he'd consult me, actually. Maybe not until the second mailing when it was Most Definitely Weird. I think he'd like Risen a lot, that's what I'll do. Maybe I'll send it to his work, that might make it even more fun.

With all the issues of Curios & Conundrums, I probably have puzzles and riddles to last me a year, to say nothing about the unfinished construction work still underway on The Haunted Dollhouse. I do love the tactile side of the Experiences, though, and I wonder what the interactive part of The Demon Jar will be. It must be mine! I did actually consider mailing out a couple of holiday cards this year, but in the end I did not find the time to do so. Well, he will receive his Weeping Book in the new year then! It will be soon enough. I hope the Risen! Experience is received well by your friend. I hope he has the sense to stay away from these dreadful spoilers!

Can someone please tell me what significance that postcard had? I see nothing.
