An apparent limited offering email went out to certain members, offering them a chance to pre-order the Demon Jar.
The link is to a private page, and currently it does not appear on their website as an experience.

That experience looks supremely terrifying. My heart was beating faster just reading about it.

I'm glad, after the new "family" experience, they've offered another new one that's more "adult"!

I just wonder about the price. I mean, the Century Beast was 6 mailings and it was $270. This is two mailings and it is $250...

I'm hoping for an actual metal jar, and not just a mold.

That was out of the blue! Could not help but purchase. Now have FOUR experiences paid for that are awaiting delivery:
1. Filigree in Shadow 2. Lost Treasure of John Auger 3. The Dragon's Tooth 4. The Demon Jar
That adds up to a lot of scratch! I hope that the MPC is not going to find itself in the same position it did after the Kickstarter Century Beast, when they were overwhelmed and the company went into a downward spiral for a while until they moved, hired more people, and finally caught up!
That said, I'm really looking forward to all of these!

Regarding The Century Beast: it was $399 when we paid for it, and although it had many more mailings than, say, The King in Yellow or Risen, it was a less satisfying experience overall. Quality, not quantity, is what counts.

Got two kidneys? I know a guy...... I believe I will stick to giving blood. One does have to do it a bit more often to accrue the amount needed for a curated Experience, but it does save the hassel of dialysis. That was out of the blue! Could not help but purchase. I am holding on by a thread. I never planned for this eventuality! This is actually tempting me to get an Experience for myself... So not even the fact that I have all but run out of worthy recipients is protecting me. Regarding The Century Beast: it was $399 when we paid for it (...) To be fair, those were Canadian Dollars. May I just say that the phrase most interactive Experience sounds awfully intriguing?

I'm assuming it will be a ritual we have to perform ourselves but at that price point I'm wondering what it will include. I'm so doing it tho. Luckily today's payday 😆

Yes, I received the e-mail and almost immediately purchased this based on the description alone. thegenii, if you think four is bad, try EIGHT active ones for me (including the Membership Handbook, so really seven), thanks to the Dread Holidays discounts. I'm playing major catchup here with the original three experiences (Risen, King in Yellow, and Tempus Fugit) and The Century Beast, as I joined only earlier this year (I ended up buying The Weeping Book right when I joined, as it was the cheapest experience, and it both did not disappoint and continues to impress my friends, one of whom legitimately thought it was real). I'm certainly doing this for my own enjoyment but also because I will likely be teaching a class in the Spring on unconventional storytelling and weird fiction, and I want to use both the Experiences and C&C as examples.
To the MPC's credit so far, I reached out asking if this would all be too much at once, and they got back to me immediately and I've started a nice dialogue with them, so customer service has been fine for me. They also ended up sending the first mailing for Risen out early and it's arriving today. However, the Membership Handbook is a week past their proposed date and it seems like that would be simple to send, so who knows. Fingers crossed all will go well!

I've been told that selling sperm is much more profitable than selling blood.
