I'm giving this thread a bump so people can help brainstorm on the second layer of encryption on this. To see what people have tried and didn't work (or did work), leads we like, etc etc. Because, I don't know about you, but this one is kicking my ass. This is seriously a spoiler. Don't look if you don't want help. We are looking for a 29 letter word or phrase. The clue is an eye. Things I tried that seemed to go nowhere: I tried to pull all of letters from the rebuses that are incorrect for the actual idiom (i.e. "tern" should be "turn"). Unfortunately, most of the rebuses don't have incorrect words, so I only got a few. I tried compiling all of the letters that appear in the rebus pictures (like the E in the lower right or the 5 I's (eyes)) but again, I couldn't find many letters and they didn't anagram well. I tried coming up the other halves of the hybrid phrases, but nothing jumps out.
At this point, I am basically trying every idiom that involves an eye or seeing (did you know "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is 29 characters? It's wrong though), but seeing as how none of the other second level phrases have been standard...

Where does the 29 letter phrase thing come from? Was there something in the last issue I missed?

Where does the 29 letter phrase thing come from? Was there something in the last issue I missed? Some of the puzzles have multiple layers. Once you get the first padlock, the next will appear.

I have some ideas, but nothing coherent. The "pyramid" symbol for this puzzle has some similarities to the symbol for The Illuminati. The vault symbol for this puzzle is an "eye" which is also similar to symbols used for The Illuminati.
"Mangled Words" has the phrase "New World Order" which could be an Illuminati reference.
The puzzle description mentions "government hybrids". I searched for conspiracies related to government hybrids and one of the first results was about the Illuminati. Apparently they created a race of reptilian-human hybrids. If you dig into this you will find some references to the "Montauk Project" as being involved with creating these hybrids. "Montauk" was a word in the word search puzzle. They also claim to use movies and TV to influence humanity. Three of the movies mentioned as examples are in the "Word Stack" puzzle.
The answer is not "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" So, those are the clues Ive noticed, but nothing leads me to a 29 letter phrase yet.

Does anyone think it might be connected to the Home Conspiracy Kit? The 3x3 grid is the same.. I have got something but I am unsure it is relevant at all.. If you unscramble the flags on the conspiracy kit it spells "Blamed JFK" or "JFK Bedlam"
also Wearing a thin scarlet or crimson string as a type of talisman is a Jewish folk custom as a way to ward off misfortune brought about by the "evil eye"

so I checked out "JFK Bedlam" and came up with a production by Bedlam called "JFK's Secret Killer: The Evidence" alas the vault does not take punctuation so it is 2 letters shy.. So close yet but yet so far

I think the flags on the conspiracy kit were used for the Crazy wheel since each of them is one of the letters of the agents. it also comes with pins to put into a map board and string to trace the path of the package so that you can decipher what its message is.

a coincidence then you think that it is also a 3x3 grid, it spell a conspiracy and that the red string wards off the evil eye?

My version only came with 4 pins though, for what its worth.

As a fellow C&Cer pointed out, there is a pretty big eye in the Thorazine ad. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to glean anything resembling a 29 letter phrase from it. So I went looking for other eyes from this issue. And I found one that I think might yield some ciphers. it's on the furniture tag. It has the pyramid, the MPC lantern, a maze, a beetle with a question mark, rays, lines and the circle around the edge features 4,5 and 6 pointed stars. Has anyone else tried to decipher this symbol?

I think that the Home conspiracy kit is involved in some way, but I don't think it will be the answer in isolation. Somehow it needs to be combined with YDS to get the final answer. I like Blamed JFK That can't be a coincidence that those were the letters chosen for the flags and agent names. Ive been trying to combine the 9 letters from the flags and the 9 letters from YDS, but Im not getting anywhere. Maybe BIGCHEFAD can be rearranged into the name of someone who blamed JFK for something

I just found this: Again it might not be relevant but everything is worth exploring!
