The constant cracks about how it's the intern's hair will make it far less creepy, in my humblest of opinions. I know, none of us would truly believe the artifact to be what it portends to be. But, I would enjoy the illusion more without the peek behind the curtain beforehand. Actually, only one commenter suggested that the hair of the interns would be used for the Experience. The Curator only mentioned shaving the interns once, "as a show of solidarity".

I like the "jokes" about shaving the interns' hair. It helps me imagine a large organization, with the Curator sitting in his office, and various interns scurrying about wondering what the heck they got themselves into with this one.

Meanwhile, back at FidgetCube, the nervous breakdown continues. They're considering adding a stretch goal at $5.5M (from the original goal of $15K)...
The latest update was actually quite good -- once the shock wore off, they've been very transparent and communicative.

I was just looking through the Twitter feed of the Company for something completely unrelated...

Ah, well, that might be confirmation. Or it might not. Or there might be a manufacturing snafu

Well, whatever they make, it probably will not be quite as intricate.

I received an email from The Curator (a mass email, not a personal one) which stated that two new pledge levels had been added to the Kickstarter which would allow the purchaser to name The Undertakers and The Cosmeticist. I instantly clicked over to the Kickstarter campaign to take a look and both had already been sold (at almost $1,500 US each).

I instantly clicked over to the Kickstarter campaign to take a look and both had already been sold (at almost $1,500 US each). I'm a little sad (/jealous) that The Undertakers went so quickly. I don't think there's any way I could have spent that $$$, but it would have been nice to dream about it for a bit. OTOH, it's just as well that it was snapped up almost immediately so I didn't even have that momentary feeling of, "but could I maybe, possibly, figure out a way to justify that purchase [to my partner/joint financial account holder]?"

Getting snapped up can also be someone snapping it up just so they have time to think about it. You never know, it might be released later. I know that happened with a few things on the premium end of CB just before the end, in particular a bespoke experience opening about 30 minutes before the end because there were a lot of people have the should I or shouldn't I moment.

I envision the organization as being a handful of Canadians who spend a lot of their "work" time enjoying medicinal herbs of the skunkweed variety.

That era is truly a treasure trove of the bizarre and morbid. No wonder the Company feel quite at home there! I envision the organization as being a handful of Canadians who spend a lot of their "work" time enjoying medicinal herbs of the skunkweed variety. Now this does not help preserving the illusion at all!

It seems as if the Curator and his Coterie are planning to craft this key they keep hinting at out of unobtanium.
