Members in the UK might be interested in checking this out: unknownfiles.wixsite.com/unknownfiles. They recently had a Kickstarter campaign that will most likely fail to fund, but they say they are committed to developing regardless.

Well, I certainly hope they include a bit more of Europe when they try again!

They could have opened it to Europe and NA with the appropriate postage attached, there might have been more interest? I know it's a pita to mail stuff internationally, but it reads like most of the mailings are paper and paper doesn't even need a customs form any more.

I ask about this, and it seems they were indeed concerned about customs opening and damaging the letters. But they are looking into shipping internationally in the future.

I hope that these folks are able to get their endeavor up and running. And I hope that if any of our UK based friends participate that they will let us poor NA folks know how it works out for them. Gambatte! That's Japanese for Do Your Best.

Will do - I backed the KS and have joined their mailing list, if they launch at the prices they were talking about then I'll be subbing and will do updates here as and when "stuff" arrives....

I hope they get it up and available in Germany before the United Kingdom leave the EU - I was enjoying getting things from the UK without customs shenanigans. The current issue of Curios & Conundrums is still stuck there.

Update on the first release from these guys from today's email: "Stone Giants" will be orderable from 29th October, costing £59 (not sure yet if this includes delivery), with discount vouchers available at London Comic Con and via email mailing list. Needless to say, I will be ordering one of these as soon as it goes live and will post some photos from the mailings for those interested in what this involves.

Thank you for sharing - I did not get that notification. Sadly, they still refuse to ship outside the UK. Still, let us know what you think!

Will do - if the worst comes to the worst and you really, really like the look of it then I'd be happy to forward stuff onto you (you're in Germany is that right).

That would of course be greatly appreciated! What intrigues me most about their project is that they apparently include an interactive component... I went a bit overboard with the Filigree in Shadow kickstarter campaign this month, but as soon as I am a bit more solvent again, I will let you know!

Sure, that's cool - a couple of people here have done great deeds for me so I'm totally happy to pay it forwards and help out where I can, routing mail is the easy bit!

OK, Stone Giants launches for ordering today, with a kick-off puzzle to gain access to a discount code:
"What travels around the world but stays in one corner?"

The next lines in the mailout state: --- Use the answer for the password. www.unknownfiles.co.uk/curious--- This leads to a simple code to decrypt, which results in the keyword for a 20% discount voucher.

OK, first delivery is here - I think, I'm in a few things and I'm assuming it's this one - and it's A typical missive from a delivery company saying "we have a delivery coming for you in the next couple of weeks, please be around to receive it" but with an undercurrent of menace, or mystery - not saying who from, just that it's not prohibited... Definitely a scene setter, and a neat taster I think especially for someone who doesn't know it's part of an experience.
