I would guess that everything in the membership kits, no matter what level (and unless it's some small printed item), is made in China. Having done business with vendors in China, generally things are too heavy and thus too expensive to send by airmail. That means everything is shipped by boat, which takes a month, and then have to go through customs, which can hold things for 1 to 3 weeks depending on the whim of the day. It's easy to see how things could very easily go off the rails and get delayed. I'm sure that the MPC has now factored in a potential delay. Just doing a quick Google search, I found a place that can custom make heavy coins -- with designs along the edge that look an awful lot like the ones we received last year -- in three weeks. And we all know a high-quality custom-printed T-shirt can be at your door in about three days. That said, by setting the bar so ridiculously low, they can't possibly screw it up this time. Can they?

And yet a delivery issue with the manufacturer caused the Kit to arrive a month after Christmas last year. If the same happens this year, they can still ship in late November instead of late October for delivery in Mid-December. At least from an overseas perspective that does not seem overly cautious.

As an aside, I do not get to wear suits often, but I would wear Mysterious Package Company cufflinks. Cufflinks would be a great idea for a future membership kit. Fastest way to ensure I don't buy it. Wtf would I do with cufflinks?

You can choose to accept that reasoning. I do not. I am looking at the overall track record. Literally everything they produce, with the exception of C&C, was delayed started at around that time and most continue to suffer delays.

Ditto: I don't own a shirt with French cuffs. They would merely be a collectible, like the pendant in "The King in Yellow."

Wait, you think they lied about having issues with the coin manufacturer? I'm not disputing that punctuality is not the MPC's strong suit, but I think that's a little unfair.

I think the cuff links are a great idea! Too few people understand the allure of a well dressed man. :} But for myself an attractive pendant would also be appreciated.

I would have no use for cuff links or a pendant.
But then again, the coins aren't terribly useful either.

They're simply collectibles, not items to be seen as "useful." That's my 2 cents. Can we name anything we've received from the MPC as genuinely useful?

Not saying they lied at all. I am saying they have issues far beyond coin manufacture.

It could be either management issues, or employee-related issues (that is, not enough of them).

The fact that MPC almost invariably overshoots estimated ship dates by a month or more is not contested. I frequently warn new members to expect delays.
How that impacts your satisfaction with their product is subjective.

I must admit that I took an impish delight in wearing my Arcane Seal to see if my brother would spot it - at this point he had learned about the Company and was almost sure I was behind the Experience.

How that impacts your satisfaction with their product is subjective. Has that always been the case, or is that something that began after the Kickstarter?
