Because taking it back to basics, the problem is called "Word Search". The description is "Find the words in the list on the right." So literally speaking, search for the words in the list (just) on the right. It doesn't say search just the letter grid. You can search for VRIL and of course find it on the luggage ticket... while that may be true, read the forum posts on the ticket. I think its a red herring.

Did anyone have any more thoughts on the actual six-character padlock code for the Wordsearch (unless everyone has it and I'm lagging very far behind) After a few days consideration I'm now firmly behind putting all the words on the wordsearch grid and then taking the letters from each intersection to give us OSS AIR RAID AREA, which is a very attractive phrase to make from these letters. This is what I'm currently looking at, google gives us an attractive suggestion of the 1942 Great Los Angeles Air Raid but I can't find sufficient locale details to bring this down to six characters.

As far as I know, no one has solved this lock yet. At this point I don't think anything is a bad idea!

Well, I can tell you that LA1942 and 1942LA don't work...

Going along this line of thought, there are a bunch of 6 letter words on this page. It also mentions Freemasons, so it fits the theme.

I'm also starting to wonder if the answer is actually an initialism, or if MPC would be so foolish as to use it in place of "acronym." I hope not because I'm personally that party pooper that will call you out when you say something is an acronym when you meant initialism haha

so as far as the vault goes a 6 letter word needs to be found yet! I was thinking about the Root out portion of the message. is it possible , or has anyone looked into the possibility that they are hidden somewhere throughout the paper? and perhaps that is where the answer lies. this and the other illusive answer seem a bit more complex than the usual, maybe I am overlooking something simple

Also to my knowledge, all avenues of exploration are considered more than welcome. Who knows, but that a novel approach may be exactly what we are all searching for here.
