It appears that most (if not all) puzzles in this issue contain puzzles within them. Solve the puzzle on the surface first, then look deeper. Questions on either level should be discussed here. This appears to be the puzzle that confuses many as to how to proceed. First Clue: Note the numeral in the upper left corner. Second Clue: Note the symbols next to the letters. Third Clue: If the letters confuse you initially, perhaps that's the point.

I have to admit, this is the one that's currently got me stumped.

Bourbon,
If you pay close attention to Todd's words,
he always gives you a hint initially, even when it doesn't look like it.

I'm struggling with the clues HT, and the one with a comma. I don't have my copy on me at the moment to remember the second clue correctly. Any hints?

HT basically means a very small village. SF, TSB is a way of describing the progress we seem to be making on these puzzles.

Awww. But two can be as bad as one. But Two's for the show (if I'm thinking about this puzzle right)

And after a flurry of what I hope are good answers, I'm stuck again. Can anyone toss me a hint on DMPWC?

I thought I already posted this, but my favorite theory on the pips below certain letters is: The word associated with the letter they are under has at least as many letters as there are pips. Next If you still feel mixed up, maybe it's not you. There is one 15 letter word that can be made from this.

Was not the 15 letter word I was expecting.

I think I have a solution to this puzzle, but the best I can get as to the final solution is a two word answer.

I think I have a solution to this puzzle, but the best I can get as to the final solution is a two word answer. I have to admit, I took an algorithmic approach to this one. Based on the other puzzles, I figured I was looking for a single word starting with a particular letter. I found a list of words of the appropriate length and eliminated all the ones that didn't start with the right letter. Then I started eliminating words that used letters I didn't have available. It didn't take long to get down to one word.
