Well, decided to bite the bullet and give this one a try.
It didn't say otherwise, so I can only assume that it's a single mailing. I really enjoyed when the MPC did multiple mailings. I hope the Library will eventually adopt that format as well.

I too went in with both feet. Can't wait to see how it all plays out. Do we know if there's any interactivity to the mailings (puzzles to solve within them)?

I bought this also. I really like the idea of the story and what it may hold!

To get in the spirit, I think I'll watch Carnivale. I've long been interested, but never watched it. It feels similar to this in setting and theme.

Now that was well-done.

Am I the only one who thinks Feather in the Dust was originally scheduled for a March 2020 release? Not that I mind. Timmy could come take my house and everything in it and I would stand in the street and applaud him.

The story has always been either June or July (I forgot which off the top of my head).

I have finally managed to secure a copy of Carnivale on DVD. Part of it was laziness. The other part was making sure to secure a first edition. With my penchant to immerse myself in the odd, it's a wonder I hadn't watched this years ago. Although I know I'll be disappointed when I get to the end and there is no more to watch, the storycraft and cinematography are enchanting enough to keep me rapt.

I see there's no mention of them on the site anymore, which is somewhat annoying because there's nothing to compare with to make sure all items are accounted for when it finally does arrive. This also makes me think that the library cards will not be an item that is regularly available. I hope they will consider doing annual cards such as how the MPC did once upon a time.

Personally, I got the "membership kit" vibe from this package, with a "Standard" and "Deluxe" edition, only for sale for a limited time. Assuming we do our part and The Boundless Library continues to release product in 2021, I'd be surprised if there was not another Cardholder's Kit offering this fall. As for the contents, I understand and somewhat agree with your sentiment. I also acknowledge that the Boundless Library is new and has probably evolved in many ways since its introduction, and is possibly unrecognizable from its inception. If the contents of the kits differ from what they originally envisioned, and listed on the order page, I will assume it is because there is a world-building need for the substitution. Very shortly March will be upon us. I don't know if they're on track to ship on schedule, but I hope so. With new podcasts arriving toward the end of March, it feels timed to coincide with the Cardholder Kits...

I have screenshots that I can transcribe. Though I will agree that if things do arrive different, it's probably for good reason. Should I put them in a different thread though? If so should they be separate for the essential and the compleat, or both together?

If so should they be separate for the essential and the compleat, or both together? Too many threads can be as frustrating to navigate as not enough. I tend toward organization and compartmentalization myself, though. I imagine in the near future, this area of the forum will end up with sub-boards for the podcasts, kits, stories, etc. Please feel free to start threads as you see fit.
