So the dead tree branch background was just something to signify the dread holidays promo which just kicked up. Century beast back in stock as an all in one experience and same with King in Yellow. Some new content too, challenge coins for KiY, FiS, TF, and WB, holiday cards, and the KiY book (short stories which include it, not sure if second hand or new). So a few items to snag if you missed them (the artifact from Century Beast is still by favorite so highly recommend).

I forgot the dread holidays were a thing. I'm debating if I want the challenge coins, or if I just want to weight until the company that mints them puts them on ebay...

Fairly certain the Chambers stories are public domain, so I'd guess it's their own printing.
If not, and I'm right about them not being in copyright, then it's a new level of lazy.

Not ready for prime time. What makes it really strange is that this is not the ad copy for the Takao coin listed above it!

KiY book is also $4 on amazon with 2 day shipping. So you know, MPC really goes for the value?

The only way that book could be remotely worth it is if it had a lengthy scholarly introduction or notes on each story, which is doubtful; I’ve only found one version of the book that seems to have an intro, and that version is much more comprehensive and in addition to the core ten has about twenty other Chambers stories or poems included (and is on sale for 12 dollars on Amazon).
Despite Lovecraft being in the public domain, I do own a complete Lovecraft fiction book that is hardcover and was about twenty-five dollars, but it has a lengthy scholarly introduction and wonderful notes before each story that discuss that story’s literary influences, where the story was published, and the impact that the story had. Those features made it very worth the cost.
Appropriate to the promotion, I dread the prospect of emailing them to ask about the book, but maybe I will out of morbid curiosity. I have a feeling that they won’t be forthcoming.

My guess is the cover art for the book ties into the art and KiY statute of their experience.

So tempted for the KIY book. Of course, there was a new hardcover printing that just came out this year that I was planning to buy and age myself. So, I'm torn.

I recently got a very nice leather-bound edition of TKIY from Easton Press. It's a bit pricy compared to the MPC offering, but very high quality. I'm partial to EP's books -- they have the feel and smell of quality books. I'm curious how MPC's is bound or if it is even hardcover. If someone buys it, please share photos and feedback.

Got exactly the unhelpful response I was expecting I would get from them (and yes, I asked specific questions like about content and binding). I suspect that wortelboer is correct and that the cover has elements from the experience: Greetings Michael, We appreciate you writing to us about this. The King in Yellow book has been crafted with elements that are specifically in line with the story we at MPC are trying to tell. If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact a MPC Concierge forthwith. Have a great day, Ria Concierge at The Mysterious Package Company www.mysteriouspackage.com

I also finally got a response. Sounds like it is not a hardcover copy. Not sure if that means that it is just carstock, or if it’s a bit fancier faux leather or something. End-all-be-all, I’m not paying $25 on the chance that it’s just a regular softcover.

I received a response and it's definitely softcover:
"This is a soft cover book but it has been crafted with elements that are in line with the story that we at MPC are trying to tell."
I'm thinking about taking one for the team but the 40% off CURIOUS40 promo isn't eligible for this curiosity.
I suspect it's saddle stitched with wire staples like the Century Beast coloring book (a $20 past offering), more like a booklet than a book. "Well-loved by its original owner" sounds like it's worn and weathered but that could be partly printed like the paper artifacts of Filigree in Shadow. The MPC includes this book with the $149.99 King in Yellow All-in-One experience so I don't expect it to be much more than this. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
