Greetings puzzlers! Since C&C went off the air, there has been a void. I initially tried to fill the void by making the Vault Reproduction, but that only helped a little bit. Ive seen a lot of people in these forums looking for a challenge on par with C&C, and I've always wanted to be on the other side of the curtain, so I've made my own puzzle experience.
Im doing it a little differently than MPC. To keep costs down (which I think was MPC's problem), my puzzle experience has no physical items. Everything will be available on the website for download. There is going to be a mystery and solving each puzzle will unlock a new chapter of the mystery. It will be a somewhat non-linear story. Ive been working on it for a few months and I have gotten to the point where I need a few beta testers to help me test the 20 interconnected puzzles that I have created.
I still have a good amount of work to do. I need to find a creative writer to help me craft the story and I need to find a designer to help me make it look really nice. I also have to work on the website, and finalize the puzzles. Here is where I need some help. I would like a beta tester to be able to answer these questions for each puzzle that I have created:
1) How long did it take you?
2) On a 10 point scale (easy to hard), how challenging is this puzzle?
3) On a 10 point scale (fun to boring), how enjoyable is this puzzle?
4) Are there any spelling errors, grammatical errors or typos that need to be corrected?
5) How would you improve the puzzle?
6) How much "googling" did you need to do?
If you want to help, please let me know here and I'll get in touch via a PM. If you are a creative writer or designer and want to help with that part too, please let me know. Id really like to collaborate with some interesting people. If you'd rather wait for the final polished experience, please let me know and I'll make sure to send you a reminder when it's launched.
Thanks!
