I'd been thinking about a good way to display the artifact from Filigree in Shadow, and when I was working in my garage this week I put together a small stand with some scrap pieces of oak. As you can see in the photos, I epoxied a small piece of wood to the top of the mask to prevent it from sliding off; a notch acts as a registration point to the corresponding point on the stand to keep it in place. photos.app.goo.gl/mLeLjiNdeRXtxBhbAThe only downside is that I would have liked the mask to lean forward more -- it doesn't look right displayed on a high shelf with the angle at which the stand holds it. That would have made the stand much more challenging to create, since the support would be in the way of the "beard" piece.

Ooo that is nice! I ended up just getting a floral block from the craft store and carving it down a little. I threw the lace over it and then the mask sort of leans up on it. It will do for now. I actually have to pack up all the artifacts to move soon and I'm not excited about that process - so much bubble wrap!
