I'll submit as well, but I can't help feeling a little bait and switched. They've ended my wait by presenting... More waiting... Exactly!

I suppose this is them meeting their deadline...kind of...sort of... At least they're still consistent in that deadlines never were their strong suit... Were they playing the long game the entire time, setting their commitment to their word bar so low that even now I won't/can't give up on them?

I filled out my application today. Did anyone notice there are an awful lot of mentions and questions about hair and hats?
Your picture can’t have a hat in it, they ask abour your hair style a few times, and they ask if you wear a hat in the style section.
I just found it a bit odd.

Hats are awesome. I love hats. I will watch period dramas just for the hats. I wore a “Downton Abbey” inspired hat to walk to work today. What is their big bugaboo about hats? It seems like a society dedicated to being esoteric and mysterious would love hats.
Screw it, if I fill out this application, I’m including a picture of me wearing the biggest, gaudiest hat I can find. Maybe I will even hold a sign that reads “JUSTICE FOR ANDREW.”

Despite all my grumbling, I found myself filling out their ridiculous application form. The first "box" had better be supercallifragilisticexpealidocious or I'll be dropping them like a hot rock.

Begrudgingly, me too. Curiously the application did not ask for an email address. Do they plan to communicate with everyone via snail mail?

I am also filling it out. Has anyone given more thought to this? Am I the only one that thinks that if MPC can carry on their C and C (the early ones) oddities and ephemera to a murder mystery that it might be better than anything out there? Also, if this form is anything to go by does anyone think they are a 1930s detective a la Dick Tracy?

Although that will eventually create some logistical issues...

I will throw my hat in the ring and say that I will not be doing this, but I hope that you all enjoy filling out the application and I look forward to seeing if anything comes of it. Please note that after some of us did some behind the scenes sleuthing (there's a thread somewhere on the forums with our research) that its our understanding that the original staff responsible for C&C, including its writing and puzzle design, have all left the company (I would guess that this exact application form was written by someone or by multiple people who are no longer with MPC, but I have no way to prove that). That doesn't mean that I'm recommending not taking part in this, but just that you should be aware that there's no guarantee of anything here, including it being remotely like C&C or being of the same quality level that we've enjoyed in the past.

I'm not participating either. I filled out the application but just can't bring myself to mail it in.

I'm not doing it either, and not only, because I'm not sure if they will mail to Germany (no answer to my email btw), but because I'm so disappointed with all the things that have happen. I need a good feeling about the things I participate in. I did not get it from MPC the recent time. I mailed them also some weeks ago and asked if they could delete my account, since I did not know, if it was automatically deleted when I did not reenter my email to get a new password.
No answer besides the blah we will get to you soon..
