This has been a long time in the making; I remember hearing about this years ago. Really exciting that it's finally coming out now; I'll for sure be snapping it up on the 14th. Thanks!

So I haven't finished it yet, but Gorogoa is utterly incredible and without question worth a try. It's unlike anything I've ever experienced, and I think is very worth it for all puzzle fans here to check out. It has its own kind of dream logic where things get manipulated in surreal ways, and yet everything flows together beautifully and makes perfect sense in terms of its puzzle solving. The artwork and animation is also spectacular.

Agreed.
Except I also hate it.
It's so frustrating at times, making me think of crappy point and click adventures when you end up trying to combine every item in your inventory with everything else in the hope something random clicks.
It's lovely too.
But I do hate it.

It's lovely too. But I do hate it. I agree, but I also find this to be designed in such a way that the trying everything out strategy is an inherent part of the experience. It's sort of like being in a lucid dream and trying to make sense of dream logic; part of the point is trying crazy things until you understand how something works. It's somehow both messy and elegant at the same time.

Pretty much my favourite puzzle is actually the last one, as an old man putting colours back in the five orbs - that I found particularly relaxing and enjoyable. Not a long game by any means, maybe 90 minutes to a couple of hours of solid playing tonight cracked the whole thing, but enjoyable overall - and of course I can now chuck the ipad at the rest of the family to play through it too.

I bought and played it the other night (dang this “free” forum costs me a lot of money). I enjoyed it very much. My only gripe is that I played it in my iPod Touch, which made for very small squares to play in. But very original and satisfying puzzling for sure.

Gorogoa is supposed to be released on Ps4 and XBox One later this year. Just in case someone prefers to play on console, like me.
