"Soon" = a loooooooonnnnnnnggggggg time. Here's what I don't understand about this: they have the digital files for both of these items. All they have to do is send them to the printer!

For some reason my gut tells me the artifact will be The King in Yellow play. I doubt it because they've already included a number of pages from the play in the original King in Yellow, and this is supposed to be modern-day. Also, having read all of the Chambers short stories, a huge part of the appeal is specifically NOT knowing exactly what's in the play. It's one of the better examples of how leaving something scary up to the imagination is so much worse than just revealing it in full. All true. Just like Michael Meyers, the true horror comes from not knowing. But to be fair the pages they include in the king in yellow experience are from a version of the actual play written by someone in the 90s. I recall seeing it online.

So, looking into this, the choice is They Win The War or We Win The Battle - anyone who has pre-ordered care to share which they went for? If I do get the funds to pick this up I'd be keen to team up with someone who takes a particular path to take the other one, so we can compare and contrast differences overall...

I think MPC might be presumptuous as to which side we are on.

Since it seems more appropriate for this somehow, I chose "They Win The War". I may regret it, especially since I'll be losing.

I was planning on emailing the concierge about that when I got the money to pre-order to parse out what exactly the options mean, because they sound like the same conclusion that goes along with the adage "they may have won the battle, but not the war". I can only assume "They win the war" means we don't even win the battle and are just doomed sooner than if we won.
They get points for style, and maybe it's just me, but the options are sorta confusing.

Of the three new experiences, this one alone provides multiple endings. Did this one have some customization? Did I completely miss that? Edit: Huh. Well how about that. I assumed they were pretty much identical forms when filling all three of them out. I don't think I even noticed the "who wins" option. Going back, I think I would've picked the default one anyways. Also, I don't really recall filling out that form more than once. I hope I did. It would be nice if they had my shipping information. lol

Well, I missed it, too. Apparently the default is: They win the war. So I accidentally chose what I would have chosen anyway.

I believe, since things are in such an early stage, that if you contact the MPC you will still be able to choose the ending you prefer!

Well, I broke down and ordered this yesterday (along with the King in Yellow which I had planned on buying at some point).
I also choose the default ending.

I have also noticed that while the first shipment is scheduled to be December 15th, the second shipment is not going out until a month later.

I went ahead and took up the "We win the battle" option since no one else had mentioned they did it yet. Will share the differences with those who inquire when the time comes! (And thanks in advance for the reverse haha)
