Only just been put onto this Kickstarter
/description
It doesn't have long left and won't fund, but in the project details they say they will launch in December anyway.
Little bit of a Hunt A Killer vibe, the mystery runs over twelve boxes, but for me as they are based in the UK then it would be worth a shot as finally I'd get free postage on one of these things!

OK, CosyKiller is back on Kickstarter, with a few revisions:-
/description
I feel the campaign is missing a few key ingredients but it has potential - but if they want people to commit to twelve months for one mystery, I think they will need to give more in the way of information.
Having said that, back in the first 24 hours and you get an interesting freebie - and back at just the lowest level and you get a month's worth of puzzles restricted to backers...the first one is up for anyone to look at, maybe that would give the level this is being pitched at.
I've backed it - because I believe in putting my money where my mouth is in supporting these sorts of UK ventures.

Ah, sure, why not (the folks at my office already think I'm nuts anyway)

i pledged for the first month to give it a try. they're working really hard to meet their goals with a lot of fun add-ons. i'm a little worried that the mystery extends over an entire year... but that could be what makes it really unique!

Yeah, what the heck, bring it on! Postage seems incredibly cheap too. I've decided, unless something unbelievable shows up in the next box, to cancel Hunt A Killer, so this should fill the gap nicely. Also, as my wife is an amateur chocolatier, she'll especially enjoy the chocolate bar!

Good for you guys! If any of you fancied mentioning to the project co-ordinator that I sort of pointed you in their direction, then I might be sent another gingerdead man (my prize for getting one of the daily puzzles correct)....

The music puzzle is tough! - I found this software helpful musescore.org/en it's free and unlimited and will distinguish between the vocal and piano tracks

Well, CosyKiller funded and was due to beginning shipping in December....it's December 9th and my first box arrived today. First mailing of Twelve then:- An introductory letter regarding an inheritance I may be due (standard MPC-esque fare) A battered and edge burnt diary with a few inserts (including a cipher) and a puzzle or two in the pages...said diary is incomplete, the back end is torn off, so I've only got the first 128 pages. ... ... Yes, you read that right. A filled 128 page diary.

There are two ciphers in the volume, one easy if made tricky because of limited letters given, and the other supposedly a really tricky solve. Also mention is made of a hidden meta mystery of some description through these boxes...

Well, I'm very grumpy right now, as they decided to use one of (in my experience) the worst delivery services in the US, DHL, and not surprisingly, DHL completely screwed up and couldn't figure out what my address was; the only "mistake" was that the house number and the street number were switched from their usual order in the address line. It's now "on hold" with DHL, which has happened to me before and is a total nightmare, as sometimes it means they'll try delivering again, and other times means that they hold it indefinitely until you call and figure out why they're holding the package. There's a chance that it got seized at customs, but I'm doubtful of that, though I've heard of horror stories with DHL and customs issues. I'm trying to have it sent to my work address, so we'll see if that works. I'll be contacting Red Herring and asking them to use a different delivery service in the future in the US.

Yeah you need to get this...
...solved the first cipher, it's in four parts and there are enough letters to solve the whole thing from that. The second one looks like a bugger, gonna need some real thinking on that one. And I need someone else to look at this to see if my supposed third cipher is really one or not

Well, I lucked out after a scary series of emails from DHL this morning that made me think they were going to deliver it to the wrong address and I just got the package. The diary really is insane; it's longer than The Weeping Book! I think for now I'm going to go month-to-month and see if later mailings have more to them, as I also have to pay not inexpensive shipping for this, and though I know they let us know about this in advance, there aren't as many trinkets in this as they said there were going to be, which makes me a tiny bit wary about the content in future boxes. I think I've been a bit spoiled by Dispatch in this regard. Still, I'm excited to dig into this!
