Who else knows, follows, or is intrigued by the Missing 411?
I personally hope more people start using them to help find missing people in national parks. I do have a hard time reading through the books. It breaks my heart every time I start reading about the children.
For those who don't know, the Missing 411 is a project done by a former cold case police detective called David Paulides. One day he was approached by a park ranger who told him about all these weird occurrences in the parks and the parks don't keep records of missing people. One thing I like that he does is that he never suggests Bigfoot, aliens, or whatever. He just presents the facts and lets the reader try to speculate. Is it the government or something more sinister? He doesn't know. He does want to uses these as a way to help future Search and Rescue teams find missing people during their most crucial times. He sets very specific guidelines as what counts for the Missing 411 to help exclude those normally getting lost or purposely disappearing.
The books read like case files so it can be daunting. There is a movie that was kickstarted coming out soon. I'm interested in seeing how that was done.

Thanks richard, I'll have to check it out.
It is sad those get blamed for it, then again people do tend to jump to conclusions.
