Hello all, I stumbled onto the mysterious package company's Facebook page much to my delight!
I purchased the weeping book for a friend, the inner circle membership kit for myself and the subscription to C&C as soon as I gained acceptance.
I know this is the last chapter of volume 2, but I am totally clueless as to what I am actually trying to do.
I was easily able to solve the word search, and understood it.
But I am rather confused are just the puzzles the "puzzles". I understand that all the volumes tie together to form a story arc or something.... but I had already spent a considerable amount of money on something I knew nothing about so I didn't opt to purchase the catch-up volumes.
I really love sleuthing so I haven't gone and read any spoilers for cooks consort, but will this make a bit more sense when I get the first issue of volume 3 or will I still be totally confused.
I have read about a secret title. How does anyone know to look for that? I have found the vault but I don't want to make a mistake trying to open it since I am not sure how it is related to the experience.
I am sure many of my questions are answered in the sitting room, I am just not sure where to look.
Any assistance is much appreciated. Thank you on advance,
You've joined at a difficult time. With us being told that Volume 3 starts a new chapter that requires no previous knowledge, I would hope things are more clear for newcomers with that issue. Your first issue is the final issue of Volume 2, and so the relevance of many puzzles will be lost to you since you lack the previous issues.
For example, the word search. I presume you found the hidden message. This pertains to
This is a side-quest, and it is cumulative for the volume. The current vault that you have found is for Volume 1, and so you will have no keys for it. The second volume's vault, as far as we know, is not yet active. It, too, will require information from all issues in volume 2.
If this is something you will enjoy, I highly recommend the first two Catch-Up Kits. Volume 2 builds on puzzles and themes in Volume 1, so I would suggest both, and start at the beginning. There are many people here and in the unofficial Chat Room that dedicate an unhealthy amount of time to helping people like you get caught up. You are not alone. We are always looking for new adventurers with a predilection to puzzle-solving.

I made the plunge by investing in the catch up's as a gift to myself (incidentally after having dinner plans cancelled, which likely would have cost around the same haha). I say it's worth it -- provided hours of activity for me so far.
