I'm a very new member of MPC with a lot of ground to cover before Volume 4 comes out, and I find myself conflicted about how to make that progress. Attempting to solve everything alone, aside from feeling somewhat like a (staggeringly large) chore, appears to be beyond my ability and missing a lot of potential fun. Hints on these forums have been helpful, but given the time delay, I am reluctant to simply ask for information that hasn't already been covered.
So the question: Who's with me? If you're staring up the sheer cliff face of three volumes' material and thinking how much you'd like someone to hold your beer for a minute, I'd be happy to oblige for the favor returned. You can find me in the IRC.

While I've solved all three volumes (and believe me, it's a lot to do but very worth the effort), I would be more than happy to help with a puzzle via PM if you feel a need. I've had much help from others on this forum and have been able to help others as well, and it's enormous fun and gratifying to be able to take part in puzzle solving together and help lead someone to success. I'm on here pretty much daily, and will have a lot of time on my hands in the next several weeks as the school I work at goes on Spring Break. Welcome to the community, and prepare yourself for a crazy journey!

Same here. I've managed to plough through the first three volumes since around Christmas time with no small amount of guidance from this community. I'm very happy to help out with anything you need, as will most others here. The existing threads will likely contain good nudges and hints for most of the trickier sections and you can always send a message my way if you need to.
Good luck!

Me three! Happy to help. Nice chatting with you last night in the chat room. Prozac and dmikester have both helped me out in the past and are excellent helpers. Feel free to PM and/or send me a PM and I'm happy to meet you in the chat room. Welcome to the rabbit hole.

I am just about to finish volume three and was also looking to make some progress on the first two volumes, at least before Volume 4 begins. My time is a little limited but this will be way more fun with someone fighting the fight at the same time!
Edit: it's actually why I came to this forum - I wanted to see if there were recommendations on how to begin exploring these!

Hey! I'm pretty new to the community myself. I just worked my way through volume 1 utilising so many of the hints here and on the forum. But I would totally love to be your partner for the second and third volumes as I would like to get through them before volume 4 is shipped as much as possible !!

Alright! Looks like we got a trio. I'm sending you two a rough idea of my current progress so we can start planning.
Those of you veterans offering your help, I surely appreciate it, and I don't doubt we'll take you up on the offer now and then.

I just got Volume one and Volume two and I figured out myself that there is something to figure out with some of the pictures and things but am pretty much totally lost at the moment. I would love to join your group if it is possible and not to late. thanks

Some things to think about:
Volumes one and two are laid out much differently than three. If you're circling back you're going to need to be much less linear.
As a general rule, start with the prologue. Solve things that look like obvious puzzles- on the early volumes puzzles weren't marked. They'll usually point you toward your next step- if they haven't, put a pin in it and keep reading through the paper.
Have a notebook. Well, I have a notebook. Todd has an accordion file, and I think someone has a shoebox. The point is, find a way to keep track of your notes. Quite often in the first volumes you won't know what to do with something right away. Don't write in your paper- photocopy! Trust me.
Feel free to reach out to mods and exemplars. Not all of us are around all the time here, but there's almost always someone in the chat room.
Welcome to the Game.
