So I made it through Volume 1...skipped to Volume 3 and made it through that....and now am almost [hopefully] through Volume 2. This is what I have discovered makes my life easier when working on these puzzles. These supplies I have found handy and make life easier. 1 notebook (writing the steps down to how you figured something out is important) and keep a list of what solutions go with what puzzle. 2. pencils 3...erasers...lots of them!!! 4 scratch pad 5 inkjet printer with a scanner and copier (and lots of paper and extra ink cartridges for same) 6. scissors 7. scotch tape 8. ruler 9. grid paper 10. translucent/tracing paper 11. UV black light 12 a really good magnifier with a light!!! and most of all..the one thing you need to have is lots of patience...LOTS OF IT....(this is something I struggle greatly with)...and a no-quitter attitude. and, if you happen to have a good collection of classic literature on your bookshelf...that also might come in handy.
