they seem to match the symbols from the ouroboros besides being puzzle lock symbols anyway is what I'm thinking but how to get anywhere with that is where I'm stuck. Have you unlocked any of the puzzle locks? After you unlock them, something happens to the lock that should help you out.

Sometimes they include curios that help visualize the puzzles, but do not inherently contain clues. Think about the Flags & String with the Crazy Wall in Issue 2. I think these are just to help you lay out the ouroboros message in a line instead of a spiral, but don't add anything to it.

I just subscribed today. However in my tired state, I thought it was starting Vol. 4. Later I realized that I was ordering chapter 4. I have cancelled my subscription, but is it too late will I still be getting chapter 4?

I have cancelled my subscription, but is it too late will I still be getting chapter 4? As I understand it, orders for Chapter Four of Volume Three closed in the middle of November. New subscriptions ordered today should start with Volume Four, Issue One. But I am not an employee of the MPC. Contact concierge@mysteriousPackage.com for an official answer.

The magnets are the key. They relate to the map and to ouroboroa. They're apparently alchemy symbols. I've sorted them into groups and will report my findings ASAP.

So here is my catalog of magnets. I have no clue if this has any relevance or not. I'm sure everyone knows that the magnets are largely the same as the symbols of the various puzzles from 3.1 through 3.4 and also include the missives. There are 34 separate symbols represented in the vaults for volume 3 - 10 in each issue plus four missive symbols. Interestingly, there are 44 different symbols represented on the magnets. I read somewhere that they could be alchemy symbols. If you break the magnets apart (other than the cool MPC and C&C logos) you can immediately start breaking them up by appearance. Here's my first run at it in it's raw form - no spoiler alert needed as this is simply observational at this point. I'm going to do some further analysis and try to find any patterns. Categories are broken into what appears to be the primary motif in each symbol. I'm wondering if similar symbols or groups of motifs relate to their translation. This curio strikes me as something you can use on your refrigerator to spell words out once you crack the code to impress your friends. I also don't know if the number of magnets per symbol is important. Perhaps the more magnets the more common the letter? Here goes:
Three Horizontal Line Symbols: Three horizontal lines with a vertical "football" - 2 magnets Three Horizontal lines with a central dot - 5 magnets
Triangle Symbols: Triangle with inner circle and small triangle on right - 5 magnets Triangle with inner triangle and central dot - 4 magnets Triangle with circle on top and dot in the circle's center - 3 magnets Triangle with reverse "s" shape - 4 magnets Triangle with square on lower left - 4 magnets Triangle with three vertical lines and dot middle bottom - 4 magnets Triangle with "lightning bolt" shape - 4 magnets Triangle with central circle and central upside down triangle - 4 magnets Triangle with dots on corners - 6 magnets Stacked small triangle switch central dot in lower triangle - 2 magnets
Circle Symbols: Circle with horizontal "football" and dot - 4 magnets Circle with central triangle and square - 2 magnets Circle with two dots and central circle - 4 magnets Circle with two inner circles and triangle - 4 magnets Circle with vertical football - 4 magnets Circle with "lightning bolt" - 5 magnets Circle with central square and dot - 5 magnets Circle with three vertical lines - 5 magnets Circle with reverse "s" shape - 7 magnets Circle with central square and diamond - 6 magnets
Square Symbols: Square with what looks like a horizontal and vertical reverse "s" - 2 magnets Square with three vertical lines and central circle - 3 magnets Square with lower central triangle - 8 magnets Square with central square and circle - 6 magnets Square with reverse "s" and central dot - 7 magnets Square with "lightning bolt" - 4 magnets Square with reverse "s" - 4 magnets Square with three vertical lines - 4 magnets Square with vertical "football" - 2 magnets
Reverse "S" Symbols: Reverse "s" with vertical "lightning bolt" - 7 magnets Reverse "s" with central dot - 5 symbols
"Football" Symbols: Vertical football with central square - 4 magnets Vertical football with reverse "s" - 8 magnets Vertical football with central dot - 3 magnets Horizontal football with reverse "s" - 3 magnets Vertical football with horizontal "lightning bolt" - 5 magnets Vertical football with lower triangle - 2 magnets
Three Vertical Line Symbols: Three Horizontal lines with horizontal "lightning bolt" - 7 magnets Three vertical lines with two circles - 3 magnets Three vertical lines with vertical "football" - 4 magnets
"Lightning bolt" Symbols: Horizontal lightning bolt with a dot on each end - 7 magnets Horizontal lightning bolt with what appears to be two small squares - 5 magnets.
If this is helpful let me know and I can message or email it to you. If someone cares to check my counts, feel free.

A quick math correction. There are 4 issues in Volume 3. Ten per issue plus the missives is 44, the same as the number of magnets. Have you noticed that letters appear under each unlocked icon in the Vault? Are you familiar with phonemes?

Here goes: You're right that there were 10 symbols for each issue and another 4 for chapter 5 == that's a total of 44 symbols (I'm guessing 34 was just a typo). During volume 3, we are using those 44 symbols and the distinct letters/sounds associated with each one to sound out the locations on the map -- and, coincidentally, there are 44 phonemes (distinct vocal sounds) in standard North American English and they correspond to the sounds represented by the symbols

I actually looked up the rules for the Motherland game. I can't wait to get the rest of the cards for this game. Aside from being a curio, it sounds super fun to play, very similar to Avalon.

My bell was also dented, so I assume it's by design rather than due to mishandling in shipping. I'm reminded of the Aesop fable of the Bell and the Cat.

Something I wrangled with for a bit was all the places the coin from the previous issue fits. It goes right over the tesseract symbol on j'accuse and also in an ad on the bottom left page that has the string of letters along the top. It also fits in the poison cookbook and probably other places. Only one circle template or something more?
