If you order "The Weeping Book" experience and you or your mark rigorously investigate every shred of evidence you are given in the single mailing, you may notice a phone number on the packaging slip. Calling this number results in a very interesting message. The recording will seem to be ripe with mystery, but in no-way related to the main plot of the Weeping Book experience. This is because we believe it isn't related. We theorize the MPC applied packaging slips from the "Tempus Fugit", another experience unrelated to this one (this has been unconfirmed by the MPC). If you investigate the sitting room, you will notice a VERY long post (200 long as of writing this post) regarding this topic. There are many theories as to weather or not it really is related, but the MPC has confirmed that we have solved all the riddles.

Is the weeping book as entertaining as the king in yellow? Not having done the King in Yellow, I can't offer a comparison, but the Weeping Book is a single mailing, so there is less build. There is one cipher in the Weeping Book, so that is different from the King in Yellow. Additionally, researching the Weeping Book leads to an actual historic event about which much has been written, so if the research is what you enjoyed, you won't be disappointed there.

Both are "eerie" mood pieces. The King in Yellow teases it out with three mailings, and the stories are required reading to make sense of what you've received. You get more "goodies" with it. The final item in the crate is worthy of display.
The Weeping Book is a disturbing puzzle to be solved and comes in one mailing. Unlike Todd, I didn't find that the historical background of the main evil figure was really necessary to enrich the experience, as opposed to The King in Yellow, where reading the stories is mandatory to make sense of it.
Mr. Gallerani: I've done Tempus Fugit and can't see how there could be any relation between it and the phone recording from the shipping label.

If anyone would like a digital copy of the packing label please let me know. My wife just got her book yesterday and I made sure to hold on to it.

Just a clarification. The phone number belonged to a Bespoke Experience, which are specially made for a single recipient.
We have seen the phone number on Weeping Book, Tempus Fugit, and also Inner Circle Membership Kit labels.
