My favorite go-to hotel in NYC costs $99 a night. It's near Broadway and 42 which is to say, a deal. The downside is it IS a little creepy. The rooms are tiny and what many would consider "dirty" (though I thought it was fine) and when you check in you can tell that the double doors behind you are connected to the strip club next door haha. Would my parents stay there? Definitely not. But I'm adventurous. And cheap.

I wouldn't take a black light into that room if I were you. And I WOULD make liberal use of the St. Mark's soap.
