I have the string of letters from the code and assume they lead to the answers of each question, not sure what should be catching my eye or how 10 questions lead to a 12 letter answer OK, now you have a string of letters and you know which answer to choose from each question, then what does the start of Which God? tell you to do? TO be more explicit It tells you to choose the thing that first catches your eye And more the key word there is FIRST

I was able to solve this thanks to the hints about the keys, but what was there in the puzzle linking it to the either of the keys?

I'm also sadly still lost. I have the letters for the answers I think and I understand the code but I am missing the first thing that jumps out at me....

I was able to solve this thanks to the hints about the keys, but what was there in the puzzle linking it to the either of the keys? I'd like to know, too. We're working through the back issues, and most puzzles ultimately make sense, but combining these things seems really random. Any insights that would help us see how people arrived at this? Is it just looking at the range of letters one obtains after decoding the key, and deciding they must apply to the puzzle where those four letters repeatedly recur?

Sometimes it is just a matter of elimination. I can tell you that Which God was one of the last puzzles solved. Seeing as how the other puzzles were solveable without the use of that key, it only follows that it might be used for this puzzle.

I kept trying to use the key as some way to find clues, but in fact it's only use is to point you in the right direction.

Interesting, though, that the key is not included on the codex web page. Up to this point it looked like they were replicating all of the curios needed to solve the puzzles (e.g. nitpicker and bingo card). So, unlike Vol 1/2, if you ordered a catch-up omnibus later after the curios ran out, you could still solve everything. This one was hard enough even with the key as a clue.

Okay. For some reason, I'm completely stuck on this one. I looked up the meaning of the key and found the "code" of ten words. I found the other ten words on a different page of the newspaper. I do not understand how to use these tools to get a list of 10 numbers/letters that will tell me which answers to pick in the quiz. Only 2 of the words in the newspaper clue match words in the Houdini code.
I assume I need ten digits less than or equal to 4, which I can then transliterate into A, B, C, and D. I assume the order of the "code" and the order of the page 9 hint are the key to this, but since only 2 of the words match...
I tried matching the other words in a logical way, but came up with a quiz result that is evenly split between two gods. Assuming I did that correctly, I'm not sure how to incorporate the clue in the instructions ("first").
I thought I was a reasonably intelligent person before MPC.

I thought I was a reasonably intelligent person before MPC. A tip based on your process so far: If you found the code, and you have the list of words, use one on the other and you should get letters, not numbers. Assuming you are looking in the right spot, all of the words are there, not just two. Feel free to PM me on that if you want. After you do that, you will need to use the "first" part after that and you will hopefully find something useful. We all feel like that at times with this experience and others. A little humility never killed anyone - but hubris did

Ok after some messing with this for two days I give up. I have Decoded the text from page 9 And Have 10 letters leading me to the correct answers. I have Taken the first But only seem to have a nonsense phrase Any help would be awesome. Though I feel I'm really close on this one? Argh.
