Not surprising: I would assume the "liquid" would be solid resin. Shipping a glass test tube of liquid could be problematic, not to mention that the item in liquid would deteriorate over time.

The Nazis were doping up their soldiers constantly for the same effect. This has been in the news recently--I think there's a book about it.

My boyfriend did the same (tossed it) . We don't live together and ge just happened to have a few days of mail in his car (he works second shift). I offhandendly remarked "looks like you are driving around with your office in your car" to see if he would comment on it. he didn't, until we got to his house. He then shows me a letter and asks 'what do I make of it". I said, "I duuno..maybe just junk mail" So..he threw it into the trash! When he was ina different room, I fished it out!

It's called Blitzed: Drugs in the Third Reich--the English translation was (finally) just published a few weeks ago. www.amazon.com/dp/1328663795/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_eaK1ybZA1QK8K
