I just received my catch up kit and while many of our fine fellow sleuths have likely moved well past this point, I thought it might be prudent to start a thread for those of us reading it for the first time.
If there is already a thread for this, please direct me to it and toss this one out. But else wise, I encourage all my fellow rookie gumshoes to join in me in discussing the first issue.

Concerning the Crossword Solution: is there a good photo of the tags that originally came with this issue?

Front Page: One of the very first things I noticed was the phrase: "We can neither conform nor deny that these are the Mysterious Package Offices" In a publication such as this I cannot assume that "conform" was a typo. My guess is that I must read the rest of this with a careful eye regarding conformity.

I believe photos of all artifacts- including the tags- can be found on the Wiki: curios-and-conundrums.wikia.com/wiki/Curios_and_Conundrums_Wiki

Thank you, Bardess. You are most kind.
For my fellow neophytes, here is a link to all that what was included with Volume 1, Issue 1 curios-and-conundrums.wikia.com/wiki/V0101_-_Curios
And this may be the missing tag, although I could be mistaken. vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/curios-and-conundrums/images/e/e9/WP_000037.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140220183244

Andrew McKabe & Steven Ellis: Both men died at Petroglyphs Provincial Park. Both men were seasoned adventurers. Both had a statue left at the site of the accident. Petroglyphs Provincial Park is a real place. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petroglyphs_Provincial_Park With a very real related mystery. news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1499&dat=19621027&id=QSkjAAAAIBAJ&sjid=9SYEAAAAIBAJ&pg=4484,3837056 Both of these men appear to be somehow related to these places and carvings.

The Alerion: www.sacred-texts.com/lcr/fsca/fsca43.htm this reference suggests Alerion is an anagram for Loraine

My apologies if someone has already cracked these. I'm late to the game and just got my 'catch up' bundle. Has anyone determined the meaning of the story-specific Lovecraft references in the Horoscopes? I assume as with anything in MPC's bag of tricks that there's a significance, but I wonder how great.
