It was really just an envelope with a tracking number... and thegenii, you have the worst mail service ever! We're what, 20 miles from each other?!

Less than that, I think. But it has to do with when it's mailed more than where we live. I don't think that the MPC mails the whole load out at once.

Oh ok, thanks. I'm also Diamond (with Bespoke) so I'm surprised mine is coming so much later. Not that it is a problem, I just have been getting mine before most people throughout the experience.

My reveal arrived today. I haven't looked back at the reveals from my prior experiences, but this one seems different in some way. Maybe it's the paper or the foil stamping of the company logo on the back of the envelope.
Either way, I am looking forward to the bonus issue of C&C which my account states is supposed to be mailed "around August 16th."

So, in reading everything sent for The Century Beast (except the C&C bonus issue), it seemed a bit familiar in a general sense. I started thinking about the other experiences the MPC sells and three of the four have a female protagonist. The fourth (The King in Yellow) doesn't really have a protagonist.
Century Beast centers around a heroine, who fears for her life, protecting dangerous things and then sending them to you for safekeeping. Risen is VERY similar. Tempus Fugit also centers around a female protagonist who fears for her life.
What do you all think?

I am really looking forward to the newpaper as well. I wonder if the epilogue will make Sarah's fate less ambiguous.
I only know Tempus Fugit and The Century Beast from personal experience, but I have read up on the other ones. It seems that The Century Beast is unique in that the recipient is - within the story - chosen at random. No previously unknown relative connects them to Sarah, they are in fact chosen for their non-connection.
From what I read, the protagonist from Risen is different from Sarah in that she is trying to atone for her involvement, while Sarah is seeking to destroy the creature that took her father.
I wonder if Sarah ever got to confront the Beast. She must have survived, but does she owe her survival to the protection ward, or did she actually vanquish the Beast- for the time being, since we all know: 'That is not dead which can eternal lie...'
Finally, is the recipient safe from the influence of the Beast? If the encounter Jake had with the Beast was the latest occurrence in its natural cycle, most recipients should be safe within their times of life...

I neglected to mention The Weeping Book, which has a male victim and a female antagonist, making it unique among MPC's offerings. There is no protagonist, unless you consider it to be Tom, which is why the experience is really a downer (in a good way, from a horror fan's point of view).
