As Todd noted above, the symbols are always in pairs. There are either 2 or 4 on a page. You need two symbols to decode a word. Think of it like a crossword puzzle clue based on the grid.

Good, glad you figured it out. Yes, creepy. There's one more step after you've decoded the message.

There's another step after you decode the message? What did I miss?

I actually made the connection before decoding. Thegenii is referring to the Post Card.

I actually made the connection before decoding. Thegenii is referring to the Post Card. Ahh, ok. I already did that as part of the decoding, etc. Thought there was something else. Thanks!

It's actually very clever. The first time you read it, you won't notice that.

I decoded the symbols on the pages into their number pairs and tried to match them to the journal like Arnold would but the words don't make sense together. I can't figure out if I'm just using the wrong page as page 1?

If you consider an Arnold cipher you'll be on the right page So if I have the first set up 2 numbers is 8 and 4 and if I go to Page 8 and line for is the first clue "To Bed Now" I hope I am on the right track
